Q: In my TFSA I hold 25 diversified stocks. I am considering increasing two of the these three stocks to full position (ATRL, NTR or MG) for 2+ years hold. Which two would you suggest?

Q: Retired investor with RIF and pension income looking to deploy capital to generate growth (moderate risk) and income. Please provide 5 companies each in the US and Canada to investigate further for investment soon. Canadian banks and utilities owned, so please exclude those.

Q: Retired, dividend-income investor, with mostly a blue chip, buy-and-hold-strategy and trims-adds when dictated by asset allocation.

Technology has been taking it on the chin, to say the least. My proxy for this sector is XIT. When the dust settles, I'd like to top up my tech sector by adding to XIT.

My 2 options are:
#1 = sell NTR in my RRSP and direct the proceeds to XIT.
#2 = trim NNRG in my TFSA and direct proceeds to XIT.

So, the question is....which do you think has more upside over the next period of time....NTR or XIT or NNRG? Please rank these 3 for upside.

My current thinking is to go with Option #1.

Q: Hi Peter and Team,

In the event that the US decides to get its potash from Russia (Trump and Putin are now and always have been close buddies), what effect will that have on Nutrien? It's been a volatile holding for us, but we've held on to it, I'm concerned that if it loses a lot of its export market to the US, it's going to tank. Your thoughts?

Q: The three year chart on this is not pretty. Why, given the lack of potash on the market from the Ukraine and Russia, has NTR not thrived? I've done well on NTR in the past but have a hard time understanding the cyclicality. This looks like a good time to invest once again, but is it? How can tariffs hurt NTR? Where else is the US going to get their large need?

BTW, thanks for the suggestion that 475 was a good entry point for ISRG.

Q: Planning on setting up an income portfolio of dividend growing equities. Would the above stocks meet this objective. Already own BAM, BNS, CNQ, DIR.UN, ENB, FRU, FTS, IFC, PEY, POW, SLFm TRP and WCP. Are there other equities other than the above list that you would recommend substituting for one or more of them? Q: Nutrien (NTR:CA) shares have steadily dropped about 43% over the last 3 years, so what is the prognosis going forward?
I'm missing something.
Since the USA apparently buys approximately 85-90% of their potash from Canada and the alternative supply is overseas, isn't this a captive market?
Why doesn't Nutrien (assuming it to be the biggest potash player in Canada) increase the price to build value and increase the share price?

Q: I have done good with ala, have a good capital gain in my tsfa, I wnt to sell it and guy something else, the yield is down to about 3%, I don't see a lot of upside in the dividend, thinking of buying sobo, their yield 7 %, I have a lot in pipelines have have done well with them, what say you, do have over stocks that you would suggest, looking for yield, and I have lots in the banks already

Q: How much likelihood do you see that some key Canadian resources are sourced in Eastern Europe by the Americans if the Ukraine war should resolve soon? Notably potash from Belarus, uranium from Russia and Aliminum from Ukraine, potentially including others I may know less.

Q: Based on today’s environment is NTR a sell? The materials sector is pretty diverse, are there two or three CDN companies that you would have a high degree of confidence would outperform just holding XMA for materials exposure? Or would you steer clear of Canada altogether, and if so, applying the same criteria suggest two or three U.S companies that could outperform XLB in the near term.
