Q: Hi Team,
Two part question. If not already discussed can I have your take on earnings for both Gsy and Ttd and the outlook for each company. Thanks ,

Q: I am still toying with RRSP strategies - I have about 50% of my RRSP in US funds and 50% in Canadian funds. I plan on starting to draw my RRSP down in January and need about an 8% annual return, including dividends and growth for the next 10 years. I have slowly been rolling my Canadian side toward your income portfolio, and am about half-way there. On the US side, I hold the above positions. What are your thoughts on the following - mirroring your income portfolio with the Canadian side, and on the US side hold a combination of ETF's/Equities, or just ETF's. I have been actively growing my RRSP (with success thanks!) But hope to be able to spend less time on it once I retire. The above idea means, for the Cdn side, I can continue to follow your moves on the income portfolio. For the US side, I will continue to monitor/rebalance, but I don’t want it to be a daily task - please suggest a tactic, including whether to mix equities/ETF's, or just go to one or a few ETF's, and please suggest holdings in either tactic. Thanks!

Q: Hi; looking to check in on these high multiple stocks. Do you see them moving well, noting possible recession ahead and falling rates, other global things. Are they the best place to be.

Q: HI Team,
I was wanting your updated take on TTD. I have held it for a long time in my tfsa and am up nicely on it. Currently it's touched near it's 2021 high. Is it still among your favorite growth companies and worthy of continuing holding in a tfsa for the next 5 years? Do you see big growth from the company continuing going forward? IF not; please suggest a couple names in which you would confidently see as outperforming TTD over the next few years in which I would replace it with.

Thanks,
Shane.

Q: I am overweight both of these names. I am hoping for a recovery pop at which time I will seek to sell down a bit and spread the money out. Can you please give me a few other names that you might suggest for growth at this time? I sold booking holdings at a loss so please exclude that name. I am too afraid to buy back smci due to its wild volatility. I was consider coherent, Motorola, and Monolithic Power but am open to other suggestions. Thank you.

Q: Would you consider investing in these securities at this time? I hold the first two in my accounts, and am considering purchasing the third.
Thank you.

Q: Good evening,

I am relatively new to options and would like to buy either a straddle or a strangle (using options with around 500 days til expiration). Would it be possible to get a list of maybe 5-10 companies for which the implied volatility is significantly lower than the historic volatility? Also what other factors would you look for in a company that you are doing a straddle/strangle on?

Thank you very much,

Aidan

Q: I came across these comments in the Globe & Mail:

“We believe the names enabling more efficient interconnect in segments such as module OEMs, analog and DSP [digital service providers] will drive the second wave of AI investments and are still under-priced for the opportunity set (especially given the run-up in power utilities).”

What companies come to mind that fit this description, and how would you rank them (starting with the best ones first)?

Q: Dear Peter:

I have a small sum, about 10 k USD from locking in some profits. I can only write covered calls in my Registered accounts. No cash secured puts! Any candidate that you may want to suggest for writing covered calls? (can only be in 100 shares lot, right?) The ones that have attractive premiums are very expensive!

Many thanks.

Q: I would like to add another tech name. With software being weak as of late, I was thinking of either ADBE or CRWD but would be open to another suggestion or two as well. I currently own GOOG, TSM, AMZN, and MSFT.. VRT and BKNG as well even tho they aren't really tech names. Thank you.

Q: Hi 5i Team,

I'm trying to clean up my US Portfolio so that I'm at 20-25 equities total. Please advise which 20-25 companies you would keep for a 5-10+ hold with balance/diversification but also some growth in mind.

Q: Hi Team,
I am debating initiating a position in CTS (Converge). How much confidence do you have in the name? Do you see them being extremely successful in a 10yr time frame? If so; I need to raise funds to buy the name hence trim one or a combination of names. Which of the following would you suggest trimming (or combination of) in order to buy CTS: Well, ATS, TTD,META, CRM. I would only be interested in trimming names in which you think CTS has more potential for SP appreciation. Thanks!

Q: Thank you for answering my earlier question on the screening criteria for Options. Your customary comprehensive and measured answer has an inbuilt framework for an article by itself! Your words of caution is appreciated.

Using the criteria that you have outlined in that answer i.e. Mkt cap 10 B+, Good cash position and sales and earnings growth, positive cash flow and reasonable volatility and momentum, can you give me 5 stocks for writing covered calls?

Where I get stumped is that some good companies give paltry premiums! Hence this question!

Always appreciate your insight.

Q: Hi 5i, and would welcome your review of the Quarterly results from illumin Holdings. Do you see any red flags or concerns with the recent performance and future business prospects conveyed? At a past point in time they had a large cash cushion that presumably provided a floor for the stock price, hence can you please comment on how they're using that cash recently. All things considered, do you see any rays of sunshine, and could you consider it a hold or a little better?

Q: I have made money on TTD but am getting bored with it. It goes up and down like a yoyo and does just fine but I'm wondering if there is something with a clearer path to growth if I am okay with volatility? If it was a simple question of owning TTD or buying something different would you keep it? If not, which two stocks would be good to keep growth exposure with a bit of diversification?

Q: Shak and IOT have been recommended on US networks. How would you categorize them up against Trade Desk?

I was thinking back of when I joined 5i at the beginning because of being a mutual fund person and seeing the Sprott Growth Funds managed by Peter as being one of the top mutual funds. When I went to the Money Show I was talking to Peter and I was asking questions that now I would have never asked him due to the knowledge I have gained from 5i. I still ask difficult questions but some of the things I asked in those days are now not difficult for me due to the knowledge gained as a result of being a long member of 5i. Thanks so much.

Q: In terms of growth and quality, what is your strongest long term recommendation for each of the following investment themes:

Artificial intelligence
Cybersecurity
Cloud computing
Digital payments
Online advertising
Infrastructure rebuild
Alternative/clean energy
Asian consumer spending
Medical needs of an aging population

My preference is for single stock ideas (US, Canadian or international) rather than ETFs, if possible.
