Q: Hello,

I am concerned in a rising interest rate environment CBO (5.0%), CPD (1.92%), XHY (7.4%), VAB (4.13%) are positions that need to change in my portfolio. Portfolio Analytics recommends holding 35% in fixed income. I currently hold about 18%.

Should I be selling some or all of these positions and then re-investing in other fixed income vehicles given the rising interest rates?

I would appreciate your feedback/suggestions on current position. Thanks again for all your great service.

Q: Would appreciate your providing comments on DBM results released after the close yesterday Nov 4. It increased it's dividend and is now yielding 7.8%. The stock hit a 52 week high in April of $10.83 and pulled back significantly to a low of $6.13 in September. Analysts had a average target price of $11.29 in August. It closed Nov 4 at $7.18 I checked your list for Canadian Stocks Tax Loss Selling and it is not included. I'm wondering if you think the worst is over and its okay to buy now? Thanks

Q: hello:
This is a question about a private company.
About 10 years ago, we invested into a company called "Redev". Over the years we've collected a small amount of dividends. Recently, I've been interested in selling some shares to raise cash but haven't been able to contact the company. I've left voice mails and email messages.
Do you know this company at all? Is there some other way to go about contacting them (eg. a public entity like OSFI or ???). We're very disturbed that there is no communication. Can you help on this one?
