You have been a champion of DSG and less so of ENGH.
ENGH provides 5.94% dividend, might be a dividend trap??
Both are down 30% +/- 1 yr.
I would have punted DSG 6 months ago, but didn't, due to your endorsement.
Credibility is important - maybe I'm missing a subtle distinction.
And I made the decision to keep it.
Thank you
Feel free to modify my question re: DSG /ENGH to put you less on the spot. I think it was Buffett who said "if can't handle your equities dropping 50% you shouldn't be in the stock market". I can handle it, but still don't like it.
All the best
Q: Hi 5i,
Presently below water on the 3 above stocks. Would you hold on today for dividend on these and hope they come back or let go for something more promising? What replacements might be better right now? Thanks.

Q: Hello, I am looking for a reason to keep my ENGH holdings. It's trading at $19 ( and I paid $31 orignially).
Would a pullback in prices of the massive U.S. A.I. companies affect ENGH's price? I understand that investors are questioning the high valuations of companies like Nividia.
Could a pullback in the A.I. industry valuations create buying opportunities for ENGH?
I am hesistating to sell ENGH at this point because it is profitable, has a good balance sheet, and the dividend is still attractive. But, if management continues to stay on the sidelines for investing its cash for much longer, I am concerned that the stock price will continue to fall.
Q: My portfolio is income based. I have capital losses in BCE, CAR,UN and ENGH. What order would you sell them in or should some be held? I am looking to replace some or all with the following; BIP.UN, NWC.UN and/or RCI.B. How would you rank them for acquisition?
Q: I need to raise some capital. Please advise in what order you would sell these equities. Are there some you would not sell? I am more of a income investor.
Q: After reviewing past questions on ENGH and CSU (specifically June 19). When you preferred the CSU group of companies over ENGH.
Would give the same recommendation after today’s news regarding Mark Leonard?
Would selling my holdings in ENGH to buy CSU be a good move from your perspective. I appreciate your input.
Thank you, Mike
Q: In reply to Patrik's question about whether he should hang on to ENGH, you said there was not a lot to get excited about here. However, I am excited about ENGH and bought more on Friday's sell-off. Here's why:
1) $5 a share in cash on the balance sheet, with no debt
2) Forward P/E ratio of less than 10 if you deduct this cash from Friday's closing share price
3) Utility-like 5.7% dividend yield while you wait for a turnaround.
I agree that there is a lot of uncertainty as to whether or not ENGH can return to growth, but I would argue that investors looking for income should by buying ENGH at current prices. If growth does return, the stock will pop.
Q: I have a position in ENGH. With the recent quarters revealing slightly negative growth and no catalyst in sight, would you recommend moving on from this name? Hence, sell or hold?
Q: Please rank according to current buy rating. All of these equities are dividend aristocrats with current dividend/distribution higher than 4.5%. Thanks
Q: Have owned ENGH forever and enjoy the growing dividend but looking at the the ten year chart I shake my head and wonder what's wrong. With its balance sheet strength etc why is it so flat and going nowhere? Is this a management problem, industry issues? Could I get your opinion on this? Would you replace it and with what? Thanks
Q: Would 5I give any consideration to including this name to income portfolio?or?Seems to me with a 5+ dividend and growth potential as well.Would it not be a good candidate at current price? Not safe enough? Thanks Larry
Q: Good evening!
Looking to add to my portfolio, and these are all high dividend payers. Could you rank them with regard to safety (primarily preservation of capital with low chance of potential problems on any visible horizon), and then also rank them from best grower to worst grower? Please take credits you think are fair.
Thanks! Paul K
Q: Finally in profit territory with DRX.Have a significant holding of HPS.A.Considering bailing out of Drx and replacing with one of 3mentioned .Which would you consider best or due to current momentum of Drx would you consider a hold .Thanks for great t service.Larry
Q: Hi Peter, the results for ENGH look a bit soft. Can you provide your opinion on the results and if you think it would be a value buy now with the dividend. Thanks
