Q: I am considering adding an insurance company. Do you think the insurance sector will do well in the next 5 years and which would be your favourite company? A short explanation of your choice would be appreciated.

Q: I am considering adding to these equities (ALA, BIP.UN, BN, CCA, CPX, DIR.UN, FTS, GSY, GWO, MFC, NWH.UN, TOU, TRP). Are there any you would not purchase more? In what order would you acquire for best overall combination of growth and dividend/distribution for the next two years.

I feel that I have constructed a well balanced equity portfolio of between 20-25 stocks, thanks in large part to you and your team.

I have identified the following as core positions, where each one represents between a 3-5% weighting:

GWL
ENB
FTS
AEM
BN
NVDA

AMZN

I know that there could be many additions to this list. But assuming I hold my "top picks" to these names, do you have any immediate concerns?

Q: GWO has done extremely well this year, up over 40%, while MFC is up over 11%. SLF, though, has lagged, down about 1.5% over the past year. What explains the wide gulf in their stock performance?

I'm wondering what your thoughts are on purchasing POW, (which is made up of 70% GWO) and pays a higher dividend, rather than purchasing GWO directly, which trades at a higher valuation?

Q: Hit "enter" to fast on my last question. Looking for some ideas with the understanding you can't offer direct recommendations. I have 40 K to add to my non-reg account. I have full positions in all the pipelines, OLY, GWO, BNS, CU, NPI, BIR, PEY, TPZ, CNQ, PRL and BMO. I have no need for any income for at least five years, not opposed to going overweight if necessary, have lots of higher yielders so would perhaps benefit from some choices with capital gain and dividend growth potential versus just high yield.

I invested in MFC and GWO roughly 2.5 years ago amongst a fairly diverse portfolio. I originally purchased both as a dividend play with potential for modest appreciation, but they have far exceeded my market value appreciation expectations over this time frame. I since purchased a smaller position in Sun Life roughly 3 months ago. For the first two, I likely need to trim for rebalancing / concentration sake.

My question(s) is as follows (and please deduct how many points as necessary):

- At a high level, what is your outlook for the Insurance space over the next 1-3 years and what indicators do you look at when making this assessment?
- Amongst the three companies listed, how would you rank them in terms of expected growth over the next 3 years?

Q: I have done quiet well with GWO over the years.
Today however I noted that My broker has disclosed that they have a net short position in excess of 0.5% of the total issued share capital of the issuer.

Based on this will you recommend selling the stock or holding it ?

Q: What are some of the negative outlooks of GWO? Is it worth investing in as of today and if so is it primarily for the dividend or growth? And how come lots of analysts are reiterating a hold? What insurance company would you recommend over GWO?

Q: I am currently 85% in the green with GWO. However I have a feeling that the price is now stagnanting. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Would you have recommendations for stocks/ETFs with 5+% dividend with reasonable growth over the next 2 years? Any sector is acceptable.
