Q: Hello, a great service and learning lots from the Q&A. I have a small Canadian portfolio with MG, OTEX, CNQ, BIP.UN and MFC. And also DIS from US side. I am looking to charge it up with some growth performers over the next 5 years. How do these holdings rate and any suggestions on additions? Would you replace any of these?

Q: Hi, Please correct me if I am wrong. 5i completely eliminated SHOP holding from all its portfolios, a little while ago and has never bought it back. I know, Shopify is among your Top favorite names and will check all the boxes for the Growth Portfolio. Could you please help me understand. Thanks

Q: With recent earnings releases for the above companies completed did anything specifically surprise you or excite you about their futures more so then before? Specifically Microsoft PayPal visa and Facebook.

For Google, it’s revenue growth was massive (68%) for a company it’s size and YouTube contributing almost the same revenue this quarter as Netflix was crazy to me. With ads growth via search not going away and cloud being a big focus for them I don’t see many things stopping it…
What do you see as the biggest risk for it specifically other then the big scary Antitrust breakup?

Q: Could you please recommend a few stocks for two RESP accounts? First account for 4 years old grandchild. Second account for three grandchildren (4, 5, and 8 years old). Q: During the last earnings season many stocks were surging and then retreated after good reports, including Shopify. Not a typical pattern from my understanding. Shopify is currently surging again, is the same pattern going to repeat this time? Impossible question I know, but is a similar pattern emerging currently?

We all know the importance of well managed companies and how it plays into long term success.
CSU has been one of the companies that has displayed a gold standard to this success.
In your professional opinions which other 5 companies show best management qualities for success for the long term? Regardless of sector. I'm not sure if you will be able to answer this question but thought it would be interesting even if some of the evidence is anecdotal.

Q: I do not have technology shares in my RRSP. I'm well covered in energy, financials, utilities, transportation, tel coms and an ETF US equities. There are quite a few techno companies out there. For a long term investment, any suggestions and why.

Q: Hi 5i, These are my RRSP stocks, etf:
LSPD, WELL, GOOGL, NVDA, SHOP, AAPL, CSU
VOX, BAM.A, QQQ, XIC, VMO, BEP.UN. In around 18 months I will be retired, and would appreciate your comments on my holdings. I'm happy with all of them now, Can you provide any suggestion (goal) to capital preservation, dividends, would you get rid of any?
