Q: Following up on a question from David answered today on mid-cap gold stocks, you brought up 3 names that did not include ARIS (WDO, KNT and GMIN). I personnaly think ARIS is currently overpriced but selling it would generate an important tax liability for me. Do you see it as a buy or hold at this time.
Also do you see KNT and WDO as buys (I currently see GMIN as overpriced) and would you compare them to ARIS at the current time.
Q: what are your 2 favorite mid cap gold companies for risk and growth as of today.awhile back you gave me aris which i own as well as barrick and iamgold.dave
I've recently read about these two companies in a report regarding insider activity. Both have impressive 52-week runs. My first opinion after a quick research is that APM looks pretty good, not so much CNL.
I would like a quick expert analysis on both, an opinion if their performance can continue and perhaps better alternatives, if your analysis does not result in a buy recommendation.
Q: I have half positions in AGI, KNT and ABX and want to increase my gold exposure. What are your two highest conviction names in the large cap producers space (miners or royalty companies), mid-cap producers space and small cap producers space?
Q: Gold is at new highs but based on a review of recent answers, gold miners are not seeing share price appreciation because of the costs of production and other factors.
Are there any gold stocks that you think are worth buying?
Q: 1. Most gold mining stocks are not going anywhere since 2020. I’m looking for juniors for possible growth. CXB is getting traction since its Marathon Gold acquisition. You have already suggested KNT, KRR, ORLA. I find ORLA interesting and many analysts follow it. Would you compare CXB with the other 3 for future growth?
2. Would you have a reference for ranking countries as per their “friendliness”/risk for mining companies, eg african, latin american ones.
Q: Greetings:
If you were establishing a position in gold miners, which would it be with reasons. B2 has hardly come off it's low with a nice dividend, Why? Must be a reason. I have been following gold closely for 50 years, and usually it amounts to no more than the rate of inflation, even though people like your old boss Eric was calling for $5,000.00 gold 15 years ago. However, one shouldn't knock all that hot air because it made him many millions.
Q: Gold above $2050 would be bullish I think. Wondering what your thoughts are on this asset category at this time and looking for your top two large and small cap picks that would have torque to a higher gold price.
Also a comment on the dividend sustainability of B2 would be appreciated.
Q: Jf Tardif - for whom you have endorsed in the past as a ‘smart guy’- was on Bnn today recommend his top 3 junior gold picks that should bounce back next year. His picks were as follows: KNT, ORE, AMC.
In your answer to yesterday’s question about your favourite junior golds, you mentioned: KNT, KKR, OLA.
What do you think of Tardif’s picks and how would you rank the 5 securities in order of preference? Thank you
Q: If you had to choose between KRR and K92, which one would you choose, and why?
If you have some other favorite in the space, could you please share?
Thanks
I am quite bullish on gold over the next while. I own AEM which is up 23 % KRR which is up 38% and KNT which, believe it or not is down 5%.
My question is should I continue to hold KNT which has proven to be a real laggard in the space and whose price is down over the past year despite the metal surging.
If you think I should hold on to it please tell me why. If you think there are better options with better upside please let me know in priority of how strong you feel.
Q: How would you characterize and rank the respective valuations and growth potentials for these 4 companies? Other suggestions for growth and diversification in an otherwise pipeline, bank, insurance company and telecomm-heavy retirement portfolio?
