Q: Over the past 5 yrs these stocks have done quite well - thank you. (Except BYD).

My portfolio has grown but these are small % and need a top up to have a meaningful impact.

Looking ahead 3-5 yrs could you rank these on moat strength and which would be best to buy now?

Q: Hello Peter and Team. I am about to open a new TFSA account with almost 100K. Time frame of 5-8 years. Could you please recommend 4-6 growth/income stocks with 1or 2 ETF’s?

Q: Regardless of sector, please suggest 5 or so each Cdn and US holdings that would expect to average an 8%+ return per year including dividend and capital appreciation (can be company or ETF, but for ETF should consider fee) for 10 year hold. Thank-you!

Q: Hi 5i team,

What would be your current 5 best (highest conviction) buys in each of the following categories please.
1. small cap
2. mid cap
Hold target is 3-10 years or longer.
I prefer these categories as they seem to have the most torque (in the right environment) albeit also the most risk.

Q: Admittedly, I am not a patient investor. I am disenchanted with Boyd and have to believe that either or all of the other equities mentioned above (which I am not fully invested in) should be a better investment for the medium/long term. Could you please comment on this and suggest the equities, in order of growth expectation, I could replace Boyd with.

Q: Hello to you! I know these are different companies at different stages of their cycles. You very recently suggested BYD, and have relatively recently recommended the other two stocks. Q: I would like to set up a concentrated balanced portfolio of 6 Canadian value and 6 growth companies. I'm looking for the very best companies Canada has to offer, currently. Q: Good morning,

Both BYD and TFII seem to be strong compounding industrial 'transportation' stocks that have stalled for awhile. I seem to recall that TFII is expecting a weak Q3/Q4 before beginning to ramp up again. I'd like to get into TFII but am not sure if it's worth waiting for a further drop in 2024.

Could you please give a quick comparison of the two stocks, including which one you think will grow more quickly in the near/long-term, including suggested entry prices?

Q: Thanks for answering both of my questions on ATS and BYD earnings. In reviewing past answers on these 2 companies it seems to me that this in not the first 'disappointing' quarter they have had.

They seem to be in a slump on earnings and in performance which naturally follows.

ATS -31% year to date and -30 for 1 year.

BYD -18% year to date and -3% for 1 year.

Both significantly lagging the S&P and QQQ.

How much longer will you give these 2 in your portfolios before they are replaced?

If you were to replace them today with good quality US stocks with good performance numbers, which would they be?
