Q: I know you just added GOOS to one of your portfolios and mentioned it is cheaper compared to peers. What multiples are you looking at vs peers and what is it trading at? Also how is the balance sheet and how much revenue comes from China?
Thanks!

Also, just took a look at their website and just on a fashion perspective, it is doing really well (especially those Tron-like jackets... wish I could afford one).

Q: Dan asked a question on May 11 about ranking the prospects of DOO, GOOS, CAE, LSPD over the next 5 years. Your answer was following ranking: LSPD, GOOS, DOO, CAE. My question is would you rank these 4 companies the same way for prospects over the next 12 months?
Thankyou

Q: I am about to triple the size of my investment in the portfolio above and give equal weighting to all. Virtually all of this new money will be in non-registered accounts. In total, this self-directed portfolio will represent 20% of my holdings; I also have 40% in a growth-focused pension fund, and 40% in a mix of ETFs through a robo-advisor.
Do you have any suggested changes to the list of names? I am primarily focused on growth, with a 3-5 year horizon.
Do you recommend a different weighting e.g. heavier on some, lighter on others?
What are your thoughts regarding timing? I am tempted to put all of the new money in now, betting on the sustainability of the recent recovery. But I understand that a phased approach will reduce risk.
Thanks for your help.

Q: Looking for some good growth prospects over the next 5+ years. Don't mind taking on something higher on the risk scale. I am evaluating some stocks that seem to be quality companies that have fallen dramatically. Would you please rank DOO, GOOS, CAE, LSPD as to how much upside you see from the current stock price for a long term hold.

Q: Hi 5i,
Based on your input, I'm looking to stack up on Industrials, Tech, and C. Discretionary. I have a 5-10 year+ timeframe and have a huge focus on outsized YoY revenue growth / returns for my portfolio. I can tolerate a lot of volatility and risk.

1. For Canadian industrials, what would be your top growth picks? Also looking to get one aviation exposure, what would be the best one out of AC, CAE, EIF?

2. For Canadian Tech, I currently have SHOP, KXS, LSPD, REAL. As you can see I'm aiming for outsized YoY Revenue Growth. Can you suggest other names? How does PHO and STC compare with them?

3. I have BYD, DOO, and GOOS. Can you name two MUST HAVES for Consumer Discretionary/Cyclical in the US?

Please subtract credits as you find appropriate. Thanks!

Q: Which sector, consumer discretionary or staples do you believe will be a better bet currently.
Please name 3 stocks on the Can + US side that should work in this thesis and why.
As always, keep up the great work.

Q: This is a follow up question to my earlier question.
From a risk profile point of view, please classify each of the above companies as:
Low risk, average risk, high risk or speculative. Charge as many questions as you feel appropriate.
Thanks. RAM

Q: Hi Ryan and Peter.
The gov'ts are talking about reopening Economy soon. A lot of stocks (except for the high techs) are still 50% less than the recent highs. Which industries or companies do you think will benefit from the reopening? Can you please provide 2-3 names in the US and Canada? I would like to move some money into my TFSA.

Thank you,
Yiwen

Q: Hello! First time question-asker and first-time investor, although I've been researching for about a year.

I'm looking to create a mixed-income portfolio leaning towards risk. This is not a retirement plan, I'm fairly young (under 30) and okay with some risk - looking at a 5 year timeline. The companies I'm considering most closely are above, with guidance from 5i I've landed on these. Question is, can a member of your team gauge the 'health' of this portfolio selection? Would you start with 14 companies, or a smaller number? Do any of the companies above strike you as over-valued at the moment and I should hold off? Would you even consider these selections high risk or relatively safe? Would you dump savings (>10k) into your first time investment with the above selection, or way too risky given the current climate?

Q: Hi Peter, are any of these at risk in this environment over the next year or alternatively in particularly good shape ? Would you continue to hold them or elimate any ? Thank you.

Q: Would you buy any of these companies at this time? Would appreciate reasons for your answer. This will be in my cash account, 2-3 year hold, medium to high risk. Thanks.

Q: Hi, 5i Team
In the market updates email that you sent on Mar/01, you mentioned the following companies deserved a closer look:

Air Canada (AC), Lightspeed (LSPD), BRP Inc. (DOO),Maple Leaf Foods (MFI),Dollarama (DOL),Aritzia (ATZ),Gildan Activewear (GIL),
Alimentation Couche-Tard (ATD.b), Canada goose (GOOS), Descartes Systems. Group (DSG), WSP Global (WSP),

In the "5i special Opportunities Report" within the Special Market Volatility Report email sent on Mar/09, you recommended 10 stocks that were very attractive. Only WSP and DSG were also included. What do you think of the others? Is it a good time to buy them around March?
Are they also solid names worth owning especially now after some huge corrections?

Thank a lot!
