Q: I bought this ETF in January 2025 thinking that the Trump administration would be good for the financial sector. I am down 7+% and the ETF is down almost 13% YTD. My logic dosn't appear to be all that logical! What do you think of this ETF? Buy, sell, hold? Any better suggestion?

BMO SPDR Financials Select Sector Index ETF (ZXLF $27.21)
Q: Do XUSF and ZXLF track the same index in the U.S. ? If a Canadian listed ETF is just owns the US ETF (which actually owns shares), is there a double MER being charged ?

State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR Premium Income ETF (XLFI $22.09)
Q: Sentiment appears to be favoring financials for now and 2026. Do you agree?
If so which of the following ETFs would your suggest as being the likely winner: KBNB 14Xpe,1 year14%,
XLF 18XE 1 Yr. 5%, IYG 19X 1 Yr, 10%
The composition of these ETF’s is similar but KBNB seems to favor a slightly different group of financial stocks including BRK.B
Hence my uncertainty. Thanks again for helping to sort this out,

Q: I currently own a full weigh of the above listed ETFs and in light of President Trump's economic policies that are likely to benefit the financial sector, I'm looking at possibly adding XLF: US ETF to my US$ Non Registered account.
Q1. What would be your best idea for US$ ETF to add to a US$ Non Registered account at this time along with your rational for this choice?
Q2.What are your thoughts on XLF:US in terms of potential return for 2025 and the remainder of the Trump presidency?
Thank you and I look forward to your response.
Francesco

Q: We are seeing the beginnings of a Trump bounce. If you had money on the sidelines would you put it to work ASAP or wait a bit now, having missed this initial move I mean. Secondly, aside from defense, oil and gas and orange make-up manufacturers, what sectors would you target, if any for the near term. Finally how does that translate into specific ETFs that might outperform over the next couple of years. Thankyou.

Q: Morning. As always your analysis is greatly appreciated.
Are there any generalizations you have on what sectors would benefit from a Harris win in the US election and what sectors would not benefit from a Harris win. I assume the answers would be opposite for a Trump win.

Q: BIZD Vanec BDC Income ETF
Stable, reliable income plus some growth?
Thanks.
I just submitted a question on this ETF …. BUT forgot to ask if it would also be a good complement to XLF because of the different composition of holdings. ?
Or is there a better financial ETF choice for that purpose?
