Q: Please list and rank up to 10 US stocks which you see as having the best potential for capital returns over the next 3-5 years. Also, please provide a risk rating for each, using a scale of 1-10 with 1 being low risk.
Thank you for your highly valued opinion which has proven to be excellent for my investment over the past several years.

Q: If you were entering new money today to try to yield at least 4 or 5 percent, what would be your top 5-10 dividend income stocks in Canada that you feel would be a safe hold for at least ten years? Alternatively, what would be your top dividend stocks in the U.S. obviously yielding less?

Q: Hello team, Shortly I will have $100K CDN and $100K U,S, to deploy for a long term hold ( 10+ years).
Could you recommend a few high quality, value & growth stocks? And what % would you buy now? I am not trying to time the market, but are you anticipating a correction during tax loss? Also, how many stocks (CDN & U.S) would you suggest?
Thanks
Carlo

Q: Would you start a position at these levels?
I know they recalled the Lotus Aortic valve but it doesn’t represent a significant earnings miss at all.
I know you like MDT over BSX and JNJ &SYK are also great company’s that you may want to think about in this equation if we wanted to buy 2 of them in the Medical device space.
Thank you,
Nick

Q: Hi 5I team.
My question is about healthcare and diversification in the space. I have been attempting to keep my position around the 16% portfolio weighting and currently hold ABBV, AMD, AMGN(4.8%), LLY(3%), PFE, MRNA, and WELL positions. Although I do not want to abandon the PFE/MRNA freight trains, I am looking at adding/shifting to what may be a longer term/higher dividend return avenue with the use of GILD(attractive entry and solid div), CRISPR(awaiting a pull back to $90 if it comes), and even MDT(under $103 if it comes)

How do you feel about this strategy and the switch out of AMGN/LLY to GILD/MDT?

Thank you

Peter

Q: Understanding that time in the market , not timing the market is best approach to long-term gains. And that one should never try to "wait for, or guess, the bottom" to pick up solid stocks, humour me with this scenario -> COVID-19 is gone tomorrow! Albeit with somewhat new reality. But it's effectively off the table as a criteria or condition for stock selection. What are your top 3 industries, and individual names in each industry you'd be rushing out to buy? Feel free to add more than 3 industries and names. I have always been a fan of Info Tech (software) so you can exclude this as I strongly believe that trend is always positive. Thanks.

Q: My portfolio is a little out of balance when it comes to healthcare stocks.

I am considering: WELL.CA, VEEV.US, GH:US, SYK.US, BIIB.US, ABBV:US, AMGN:US. (I already own IHI and BAX)
Are there others that you would add to the list?
Is there an ETF that you would recommend?
Could you please rank the above stocks with regards to 3-5 year hold?
I sold my position in GUD about a year ago.

Thanks!!

Q: good morning - it is time for me to prune my BEPC position which I took eighteen months ago at your suggestion, thank you very much. I have plenty of utilities, financials and telecom and would like to add to my health care, consumer discretionary, materials and maybe even real estate. I currently own VEEV and WELL both thanks to 5i and also have Magna, Dream Industrial, Northwest Healthcare, Interrent and ATD.B. Can you suggest some solid dividend paying Canadian companies with promising futures, please. I have been considering Nutrien and NFI. I am also thinking of increasing my BCE or T, or Magna or ATD. Do either Empire or Loblaws make sense. I do need dividend income and would like a three per cent yield. Fussy, right? Thanks again. Most of the positions I hold have taken with your guidance. I am stuffed with Fortis and AQN along with the banks and SLF. You have been a great guide, thanks.

Q: Hi,
is the current debt level for ABBV to risky in the current economic environment or is the projected cash flow enough to reduce this risk? Might this cause dividend increases in the future not to happen?
In some of your answers to questions from members regarding health care stocks in the US, you often mention the election as a possible concern. Could you expand on this please? I assume you mean that one party is better than the other for this sector.
Thanks,
Dan

I currently have a limited amount of healthcare exposure in my portfolio and looking to build the allocation. I hold some MDT in my US account, I have been adding to that holding on dips. I would appreciate hearing your favourite US and Canadian healthcare stocks.. Please provide your top choices for US and Canada plus any particular ETF's you like in the healthcare sector. Q: Hi, these are the companies that have not performed well since I bought them. Which of these do you think it is worth to keep in my portfolio considering that I aim to make >= 10% a year (including dividends) and it is for the long term (+20y) ? I think to replace HD by COST, INTC by NVDA or AMD, is it a good move in your opinion ? Thank you !
