Thank you

Q: In our unregistered, income account I recently sold LIF and have decided not to return to that stock after 30 days. Instead, planning to buy more of one or two of the existing stocks.

Since this is an income account, yield is important and also quite happy to see total account balance steadily increasing whilst tapping off the cash.

I need some help deciding which ones to add to, and have 3 criteria:
1. Best yield
2. Current portfolio weighting
3. Best value over next 5 to 10 years

1. From highest to lowest yield:
TCL.A, BCE, AQN, EIF, BNS, CPD, T, SLF, QSR, ZRE, RY, LNF, FTS, BEPC, NTR

2. From lowest to highest weighting:
ZRE, LNF, TCL.A, QSR, AQN, NTR, BEPC, SLF, CPD, T, BNS, EIF, BCE, RY, FTS

3. Can you please help me to rank these stocks from highest to lowest value / growth prospects, or if that is to big a task. Please recommend overall best 3 selections given my criteria.

Thanks,

Jim

Q: I noticed that ZEB..holds the six major banks. However, its dividend distribution is 3.33%. The lowest of the dividend from TD and RY are 3.8/ 3.9. and the others are 4%+ . Any reason for that? May be a good reason to switch over?

Q: Can you recommend etfs to setup a smith maneuver account with target dividend of around 4-5%?
If you think I can get diversification from individual stocks then please go ahead to recommend that list.
Thank you for your service.

Q: 5iteam: Currently down about 9.5% . Would you consider GSY a decent replacement .If considering I do not currently need the better dividend and .it is looking like a tax loss would help this year , do you feel GSY at today 's price would give me more upside potential or would you suggest a better name to add to portfolio rather than add to GSY to lower my book value?Tks Larry

Q: Seems like there is some indiscriminate selling of rate reset prefs
last few days. Not sure this makes sense.
What are your three top rate reset ideas at the moment, that are NOT in the energy/pipeline sector
Thanks

Q: Based on your reply to Paul on May 9th...."We think buying over a year will end up looking pretty good in two or three years". Of the following Companies that make up my portfolio what would be your TOP 3 conviction names to ADD to over the next year based on long term growth potential, good valuation, well run, good management, no brainer this will be a good investment type choice. There is opportunity here so don't want to miss the boat. Yes everything is down. Yes people are panicking. But it will go back up and simply want to focus my energy on the ones with more conviction. I don't need the money for the next 15-20 yrs but don't want to be a moron either and be happy with a bit of dividend here and there when I could see larger returns by making a good decision today. Thanks again.

Q: What is your opinion of the Canadian banks at this time . I currently own XEB in the open, RRIF and TFSA- approximately 20% of my entire holdings.
I'm considering buying one the banks in my open account for income and average growth, but not sure which one. I would appreciate your recommendation.
thanks

Q: My portfolio is significantly over-weight tech and currently paying the price. Semi's (AMD, NVDA, SMH) had propped me up but not anymore. That's the bad news, good news is i have a sizable portion of cash to deploy. Over the next few months, where would you suggest deploying new cash? Which stocks, etf's, or sectors have been unjustly hit the hardest?
The rest of my portfolio is anchored by XIU, BAM, BIP, ENB, CNQ, etc.
