Q: Hi 5i Guys,
According to Morningstar, AX.UN has 0-Sells, 4-Holds and 1-Buy.
Div is very attractive at 8.37%. In your opinion, is it safe?
There was some thought that it might be bought because it's 'cheap'. Anything happening on this front that you know about?
Do you think AX.UN is a Buy/Sell/Hold. If it's as Sell what would be a good candidate to replace it?
Thanks as always for your thoughts.

Q: Is this a buy?
Read AnswerQ: On Friday March 3, 2023 after the market closed it was announced that AX.UN would be dropped from the TSX Indexes at the opoen on Monday March 20. Beginning on March 1 there was a noteworthy increase in volume and the price has dropped from $9.09 to $7.86. Volume spiked on Friday March 17 to just over 7 million (about 7x average). Provided the selling pressure was due to the delisting what do you see for AX.UN going forward? It appears to be quite undervalued so much that a takeover would seem likely. Thoughts? How safe is the dividend? The payout ratio looks reasonable. Thanks

Q: My TFSA has relatively small positions in these equities for some modest income. Most of my TFSA is positioned for growth. With Sylogist's recent dividend slash and resulting price tumble, I am thinking of taking my lumps on SYZ and redeploying the cash to buy more AX.UN that is value-priced.
What is your opinion?
Q: I have shares of Artis REIT for income. Is this worth holding for longer term or should I sell & look for better alternatives.

Q: Hi team,
Do you believe Samir Manji's strategy for Artis as a platform company will be rewarding to long term shareholders from here ?
Q: Hi There
Artis appears to have announced a generous special dividend (cash and stock) but the market does not seem to care. Any thoughts or is it smoke and mirrors?

Q: Insiders are now buying at Artis prior to the proposed Sandpiper takeover and new (risky?) business plan. I own a sizeable position that is underwater, but the dividends have put me ahead overall. Should I hold or look for an exit?

Q: Would appreciate it very much ranking the above based on your expectation of total return over 3 to 5 years period. I wish to consolidate these number into less positions. In particular I am thinking of selling FCR at a loss and perhaps add to GRT.un or one of the others,
Thanks
Q: Could you comment on the announcement today from Artis. Why move to a publicly tradable private equity? Who benefits from this? Presumably it would still be on the TSX? I also wonder why they would sell off what seems to be the best portion of their portfolio? I hold a small position in Artis, but with significant capital gains (which I prefer not to realize right now). What is your view of Artis going forward - hold or sell?
Thank-you
Q: I have a very small position (<1%) with Artis REIT. It has grown smaller as most of my other holdings have increased in value. While I'm down 20% off my purchase price, it's redeeming itself with a nice dividend. But at this point I feel like I should either buy more to bring it up to closer to 2%, or dump it and find something with more growth potential (not necessarily a REIT).
Any advice? Eliminate it or add to it?
