Q: I am looking to start a position in copper mining within my TFSA. What company would you suggest based upon prospects for future growth? I am currently 62 years old and I am investing money I will not need for a long while. I prefer to invest in companies that are making money or are about to start making money. Thanks in advance.

Q: My Interactive Brokers margin rates are now ~2.85%. I am a reasonably sophisticated investor, and understand the potential perils of margin. I do not have a heavy margin balance currently, but would like to use about 1/3 of the available balance to buy Canadian low risk stocks with eligible dividends, ideally monthly.

I've taken a close look at the dividend portfolio. Do any other names come to mind for this approach?

Q: Why do pipelines often weaken when the price of crude falls based upon high available supply ? Are their tolls tied to the price of crude ? I always thought the income was based upon the volume of oil moved vs the price of crude. Thank you.

Q: First and foremost Season's greatings and thank you very much for the support.

Following up on Joel's question from December 15th. I agree that subsidiaries will seek to integrate the use of AI into their processes in order to maintain and perhaps ultimately improve their margins, but this will have a direct impact on short-term profitability (e.g., one year). How can Constellation justify the multiple they are currently supporting with declining margins? The only way I see to improve profits would be to substantially increase accretive acquisitions during the transition. For my part, Constellation was my largest position and has lost a lot of value, even though I'm still up 200%. I'm really worried about what to do with my investment. How many quarters do you think I should wait before knowing more?

Thanks for your help.

Q: Could you please compare the present valuations for these 2 companies including P/FCF at current levels and compared to historical. Taking these insights into account, would you commence a position in MELI or add to an existing AMZN position?

Q: Hi Peter

I was wondering what you think of the valuation of WSP vs peers. Can you provide your metric to rate and the current valuation. Also would you buy at this level or what price level would you begin to buy. To me it looks expensive. I would appreciate your expert opinion.

Thank you

Q: Would you recommend starting a new position now in these big pharma stocks with rotation out of the tech sector lately? All three have decent PE, PEG and PS ratios and have been fared well in last few bear markets overall. What would your recommended allocation be across the three stocks for an investment of time line of 5 years?
Thanks!

Q: Hi Peter/5i,
New member of 5i here, I’ve been a subscriber to Canadian Money Saver for years. Have been loving all the information and ideas you present at 5i, thank you!
Wondering if you can provide suggested price entry points for PNG, GRID, ZDC and STN.TO. I’ve taken up small positions in a number of other growth companies you suggest, but these ones I thought I’d like to see them decline a bit first.
Thanks,
Tim

Q: May I have your thoughts on the 1 for 7 share consolidation? To me the company’s explanations make little sense. Most investors will understand GOT is an exploration company and consequently inherently high risk. So the share price is irrelevant. They are listed on the Vancouver exchange which must have a low minimum share price to maintain their listing. I don’t understand why they would want to list on the TSX with its higher listing costs as well as elevated minimum share price. If the float is reduced presumably the shares will become more volatile…and they’re already volatile enough! I feel management is not being truthful with the shareholders however I would like to have your take on the situation.
Thanks,
Jim
