Q: Hi 5i Team.

I have some names in my TFSA account such as ATD, ATX and ENGH (and maybe some others) that are laggers and would like to move out of them and into something with potentially higher returns.
I also own the other names mentioned above.
What are your thoughts and could you recommend 3 to 5 Canadian and/or US names with the reasons and entry points.
also own NVDA that has grown to a huge percentage of the account.
I know that I should sell some but it has been such a great performer.

Thank you
Joe

Q: Donald Trump is causing so much uncertainty in both Canadian and US markets. Canada might even go into a recession.

I know that you mentioned that we should not react to the Trump threat.

However, if I had to sell all my stocks and ETFs ($400k) and start from scratch today, what would be the top 20 stocks/ETFs ( US and/or Canadian) that that you would invest in.

Would you just buy SPY/ZSP.to/ VGT/ SCHG ETFs in the USA market for safety?

Fyi, I don't like bonds.

Q: Good Day,

I, like many 5i folks, have enjoyed a sizable run up on NVDA. It is now the largest company in the world, north of 3.5T. Now that we are this size, is it safe to say that it is unlikely it will double within the 18-24 month 'safe window'? From here, a Double makes it approx 14-15% of the entire US Stock market (google says it's currently about 54T).

Now that many AI models are advancing/pushing focus to the next stages, inference, etc, and with MSFT working with AMD on a chip for such, and those chips also requiring HBM3 memory, would there be an argument for managin ones NVDA position down to a more normal size, IE not overly overweight, and picking up positions in AMD and MU, for example?

I know that NVDA is optimally positioned to capitalize, with excellent margins, market share, etc, but at this size, I feel like NVDA losing even 5% market share would be punished, even though it would still have the lions share. But if AMD took that 5%, that would be a significant increase for it and could precipitate it being the next T market cap with a bit of momentum.

What are your thoughts on this type of logic? Are their other companies you think have a better chance of doubling in the coming year or 2?

Thanks for everything,

James

Q: 1) My 20 ry old son wants to invest his money and seems to have high risk tolerance.. I'm generally more confident in the US mkt rather than the CDN. Is he better off...
a) transferring his CN money into US and taking the 24% hit and selling in 10 years the exchange rate might be...?
b) buying US stocks in their CDN version which is usually hedged?
c) or buying a US stock in a CDN acct and losing the exchange fee when buying and selling?

2) Can you pick 6 stocks that you think should do well for the next 5 years?

Q: Hi team ,
Clbt has really jumped from the $17 up to the $20 level just in the last couple days . Do you feel if a person wanted to buy some shares we should now wait for a pullback day ? Or do you feel it might just keep going higher? Was there any news that would explain the big jump in the last few days?

Thanks ,
Shane

Q: Hello 5i!

I have some cash to deploy and am light on industrials. I’m looking for US companies that are growth oriented and I was thinking about ROAD as an option. Could you give me a summary of why you like this company? (Or don’t like it?)

And are there any other industrials that you would prefer over ROAD for growth over the next 2-3 years?

Thanks for your incredible service!

Q: Hi Folks,
I hold CELH in my non registered account. Would now be a good time to sell to harvest a tax loss. Also, would you buy it back after the 30 days or would you move on to something else. If moving on, can you recommend 2 or 3 other small cap names for me to look at?
Thanks

Q: Hello 5I. I’m at break even with Smci. Should I hold or move on and catch the next train up?
I presently hold NVDA,AXON,VRT. I’ve done very well with the other three, thanks to your us side suggestions. If I move, what would be your picks.
Thanks again for your great work

Q: Here I go again. I'm seeking your help to identify strong companies in Canada and the United States in the right sectors in the new Trump era that demonstrate 'relative safety' yet the potential to grow significantly. A bit of a reach. But I would appreciate your help to identify 5 Canadian and 5 American companies that could fit the bill. I have a relatively short time horizon - 3 years. Thanks for your appreciated support.

Q: The following stocks are all up nicely: AXON, PANW, NVDA, COST, ISRG, META, TTD and CRWD. All are mid size positions in my portfolio. Where do you see the markets going in January? Would you recommend trimming any of these stocks? Would you suggest holding more cash going into the new year? Thank you

Q: To this point in time LMN has been a solid performer in my TFSA. Recent results and some of your comments have "cooled" my expectations going forward.

Do you have 2 CDN and 2 US stocks for a TFSA 3 year plus hold that you feel will substantially outperform LMN.

Thanjs,

Terry

Q: A while ago you guys offered up an interview with Chris and Peter. They were talking about the ideal stocks and why Peter selects them.

The recco from Peter during that episode was Axon and why it was so amazing. Well, everything Peter stated has proven to be right and stock is up close to 100%.

Does Peter have another stock he loves as much as Axon was loved during that interview?

With thanks

Sheldon

Q: Good Mornings,

With much thanks to 5i, my winning stocks far outweigh my losers. However, I'm thinking of doing a little post election portfolio cleanup of two stocks.

Just trying to decide if I should consider cutting my losses on Aspen Aerogels and Transmedics, or if you think the analysts might have it correct and they are worth holding for another quarter or two?

I think I may have missed the boat on Axon, which I have deliberated about buying for two years. It has gone up so rapidly with the Trump win, that it may do some consolidating for a while.

If you have some small-mid cap suggestions that you think are showing good momentum and might be a replacement for ASPN and TMDX, please give me a few ideas. This could include Axon or any other sector stock, US or Canadian.

Thanks very much,

Brad
