Q: Thoughts on Q1 number for MRS? Looks to have great revenue, is profitable for another quarter, and improved their margin. Is it as undervalued as it looks to be on the surface or am I missing something here?
Thanks
Q: A recent article in the Financial Post noted that banks that emphasize capital return will likely outperform those focused on acquisition. Using this criteria, which ones would be more likely to out perform, in your opinion? Does this also apply to US banks? If so, which ones?
Q: Looking for a list of North American companies following attributes: management owns at least 25%; sales over 1 billion; positive earnings last 3 years; no equity raises last 3 years. Thanks
Q: In the past few weeks, I've read a lot of negative articles and opinions about Palantir characterizing it as being a ''shareholder-unfriendly company that carries too many risks'' and I just wanted to ask your thoughts on the matter. Issue #1 that comes up a lot these days is about the excessive stock-based compensation program, which has been eating all the profits in recent quarters. #2 It appears that there is A LOT of selling from the company’s insiders and was wondering if it was worrisome. Thank you!
Q: Could you provide a quick explanation of what happened to CXR?
When I was young and foolish (still currently foolish, just a little older), I loaded up about 1/3 of my portfolio about half way down from it's peak, only to watch it pretty much lose 100% from there (always the optimist....thought it might rebound). I know (think) debt did them in, but what else happened. What were the red flags that surely the stock would've shown? What are the differences between them and other companies that take on debt?
Q: TRP.PR.J is being redeemed at the end of this month. I own share in this security. I would like to reinvest in another minimum rate reset preferred share. Can you provide some suggestions please?
Q: I noticed in yesterday’s questions this stock is being redeemed. I also own it but was unaware of the redemption. How do I find out other than after the fact. What preferred would you recommend as a replacement?
Q: Hello 5i
Could I have your assessment of Door Dash please?
The last question was Dec. 2020 and they have reported their most recent quarter.
Thank you

Q: Help with Business 101 please. It seems counter intuitive that Nvidia is altering their chips so they’re less desirable for mining crypto currency? I understand crypto is a volatile market and Nvidia previously got caught with too much supply. But overall if 2 customers are willing to pay the same for a product, why would the company show a preference towards one buyer over another?
Also, regarding the chip shortage, I thought Nvidia produced chips but it sounds like they’ll be caught up in the shortage. What type of companies will benefit from the chip shortage if any? Thank you for providing this valuable service!
Q: Recently, SuRo Capital Corp declared a dividend of $2.50 per share held. Share holders are given options to receive the dividend distribution in stock (option #1) or cash (option #2).
Please kindly give advice which is a better option (#1 or #2) for a share holder to take. Thank you very much. Bill
Q: For stocks that are expected to grow in the long term, for example recovery stocks or beaten up stocks, do you think its a good idea to buy call options instead of stocks?
Thank you
Q: Hi, retired, looking to purchase one of these for my Tfsa
Looking for steady growth but also a hold and forget for 6+ years. Which one do you prefer, or would you suggest something else?
Thanks
Q: I hold full positions in both WELL (growth portfolio) and PKI (balanced portfolio). Wonder about overweighting these two positions by adding to them as WELL seems to have near term upside and PKI as a reopening recovery that is still appears to be reasonably priced. The additions would be like 50% of the target weighting. Also I'm prepared to hold for the longer-term, like 5 years. Does this make sense or are there better opportunities? .......Thanks for the insights.......Tom
