Q: Hello 5i team,
You recommended in a previous question TUHY instead of HYI (being terminated in March of this year). I also have XHY in my TFSA. Is not TUHY and XHY almost the same except that XHY is CAD-hedged and is larger in market cap?

I am wondering which one has Canadian high yield bond exposure as well as US? Or is it that there is not much coverage in CAN in general?

Q: Can you help further clarify your answer to Ian's question on high yield bonds? You mentioned you prefer an active strategy, wouldn't that translate to holding HYI in the Income Portfolio instead of the current passive XHY? Then again passive XHY has outperformed over 1,3, 5 years and since inception.

Q: Hi 5i,
if one was interested in getting exposure to the US or Canadian High Yield Bond market would you lean toward active management or a passive index ETF? I would appreciate some suggestions to further research for both US and Canada markets.

Q: To full fill RIF withdrawal obligations, I am seeking high yield vehicles and found HYI, ZHY and ZJK, they all have above 6% yield. HYI is called active high yield bond ETF even has 7.33% yield. Does active high yield more risky than other two? What do you take on these ETFs if you are a yield seeking investor? Thanks. Lin

Q: Hello 5i Team

I currently hold PH&N High Yield Bond Fund Series D (RBF1280) in a RRSP account.

I would like to transition from this mutual fund to an equivalent ETF.

What ETF would be a suitable replacement for this mutual fund, trading in Canadian dollars on the TSX?

Thank you

Q: I am looking for a bond ETF to park a substantial amount of money $400K plus for the next 12-24 months. In today's environment with interest rates on the rise i am looking at the following MFT, HYI, XHY or is there a Pimco ETF that would be more suitable. My goal would be to make 3-4% in a safe investment. Any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

Q: What is the best way to access and evaluate high yield bonds in Canada and the U.S.? I would like to add some risk to my portfolio, and improve the yields. My online investment platforms (RBC,TD) do not seem to make them available. Is there a better way?
