Q: Hi 5i Research Team:

I have traded Forex before and am new to stock trading. 90% of my RRSP, RESP and TFSA is in cash and I'd like to avail the current market conditions by "gradually" buying the dips.. and holding it over the long term, 5 to 10 years. I understand that no one can time the market or its bottom.

After exploring the reports and questions on your site, I have identified the enclosed 29 stocks based on following criteria:
- Current Retracements of > 75% over 52 week high & low
- Dividend Yield > 5% (in some cases, like WEED, which is a bit risky, I understand there's no dividend in the near term.. and I am simply going for the upside swing over the next 2 years... same for CRON and Air Canada)

Considering my 90% cash position and strategy to partially buy in on dips over the next few weeks, can you please advise if my stock selection is sound. In addition to my stock picks, please advise anything else that I should keep in mind.

Thanks for everything you do. Much appreciate.

Q: Hello 5i team
Thanks for working through this mess.
I have BCE, ENB, EIF, FSZ, MG, PBH, SPB in a non registered. I can sell these for a tax loss presently but should I, and if I do should I replace them with similar dividend players or risk 30 days to buy them back? This might fall into the personal decision category but if there is any comments or advice that you could provide please.
Thanks
Jeremy

Q: Hello 5i
This is a mixed bag inquiry. Looking for some perspectives on the above watch list. I m wanting to increase my overall US & tech sector exposure plus add to my CDN financials. All positions have yield income to weather the storm for the next few quarters
I m considering half positions (2%) in each.

Q: I have held SIS for about 2 years now and down 28% - I am looking at selling SIS and replacing it with FSZ - has a nice 7.50% dividend growing at about 5% a year. Can I have your opinion on SIS and whether it's worth holding, hoping that it recovers and can I have your opinion on FSZ as a replacement. Your opinion is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Q: I am thinking about buying FSZ. Can you please shed some light on its current and future estimated P/E, debt level, return on investment, and other fundamentals? Can you please explain why you think the stock is currently cheap? What are the chances of dividend cut over the next couple of years in the case of weaker overall market?

Q: I have a young person who own TD and FSZ as their only financial stocks. They have been under water since they bought FSZ 4 % weight and wondered if better to sell or buy another financial stock or just hold FSZ and buy a third financial stock? For a young person which financial stock would you recommend if buying a third stock to add to the portfolio?
Thanks

Q: Hi, I have had fsz for approximately 3 years, b.e is 13.74 and have been thinking if it has dropped about $4 in this market , what will happen in a down market?
My other option was NA bank which has been a lost opportunity. Should i sell fsz (7%) and buy na, or sell half and buy half na. Or just stay the course?
I think fsz is ok, for dividend but getting a little worried with where it’s at after such a great market the last 3 years. I do like to keep a stock 3+ years to give it a chance to work. With a good market and good management I find it usually works out. In a poor or flat market of course all bets are off. also I do have TD in my financial sector which has done well.
Thanks

Q: In the LIRA account which is quite small the holdings are SJ, FSZ and TOY. TOY is only a 2% weight, SJ and FSZ both 3.6 % weight and all 3 are in a loss position. Would you add to any of these or look for a new stock to add like GDI to the LIRA? I have a long time before retiring.
Thanks

Q: Good afternoon!
I have a substantial funds from recent gains that need a home. Taking note of Benj Gallander's thoughts to buy in December after tax-loss selling, are there candidates that you might recommend for purchase if they do drop? In particular, I would prefer dividend payers in the order of 5% or near to that - more if feasible!
Thanks!

Q: Why CCL.B keeps going down? Does the future of this company look bleak?
Why IGM has gone to the top, while FSZ is still sitting at the bottom although both are in the same industry?
