Q: My wife has $75,000 to invest in her TFSA, in which she is also holding 100 shares of TD Bank along with 100 shares of TD in an RSP. She is retiring in a month has a defined pension plan, CPP, OAS. But she is still looking for dividend income either monthly or quarterly to supplement her income.
We are looking at going with "Beating the TSX Portfolio 2022" but also looking at ZWU and ZWC which look like they could bring in more income but higher fees. What are your thoughts? Thank you.

Q: I bought enb about 3 months ago, I am up a little on it, I keep hearing that other pipelines have a better growth profile on dividend payouts, I was thinking of selling it and buying another pipleline, ala, ppl,ket etc. I also own a little ppl, both in a non tax account. What would do you think?

Q: My only oil/gas exposure is via the pipeline stocks listed. I am virtually at a break even point on PPL and up on TRP and ENB. I am thinking that some exposure to a oil producer is a good thing. I am thinking of selling PPL and using the proceeds to buy SU. Thoughts?

Q: I'd like your opinion in regard to which of the above would be the best investment over the next five years? Perhaps you could rank them from highest to lowest in your opinion. I've included BIP because of their likely acquistion of IPL and the broad level of infrastructure that they represent. With thanks, Don

Q: Now that Biden had made it clear that he will cancel Keystone pipe line. What impact does this have on the above four companies? With this in mind how would rank these companies based on growth and safety of dividends?

Thank you

Q: I would like to have a little fun with this question. Imagine a boxing match between Canadian companies and American companies...each round is represented by a sector so lets say it is a fight gone bad and there are extra rounds covering 11 sectors. Please pick a favourite Canadian Contender and a strong American contender for each round and who wins the round. Example Round 10 Technology Red corner Constellation Software vs Blue corner Microsoft. Won by Microsoft or Constellation Software. The rules...If you wish to give reasons why the round went one way or another, it's your choice. A good clean fight use the criteria of your investment strategies. The point...I am curious if the Canadian Companies stack up and in what areas I should be looking at South of the border. Thank you

Q: I am coming up on the 30 day mark where I can repurchase shares that I sold to harvest some tax loses. Granted the market has been strong of late but I purchased some proxies on your recommendation and they have performed well. Which would you refer at this point AD or EIF and similarly PPL vs ENB?
Thank you for your continued support and guidance

Q: I have the following securities in what I consider a balanced portfolio. The fixed income portion doesnít show here because it consists of OAS. CCP. Plus two other pensions.
Iím thinking of sell part position in MMX ( small loss);and ARE to realize a capital loss while at the same time raising some cash for the next pullback. I like TFII . We need to keep the food chain moving. Trucking an important part . The other is cargo jet. Am I on the right track . Your opinion. Or would you look elsewhere given the current holdings.

Q: Thank you to all at 5i for all your efforts and guidance.
I am contemplating some tax loss selling and would like your input regarding the following,
sell ENB, PPL, SYZ and replacing in order with TRP, KEY and ABT. After 30 days I will consider (and probably) revert back to ENB and PPL. Not sure if I will do the same with ABT back to SYZ.
Comments, suggestions input please (suitability of replacements, plan to revert back, etc.) that will help me move forward. I like to buy, hold and rebalance as necessary but I can use the tax losses to good advantage. Retired income investor with 3 to 4 years already covered as this plays out.
Thank you so much for your help!
