Q: Hi gents and Happy Friday,
You will see from the list below my exposure to Europe is mainly through ZWE and DRG.UN with PPL Corp being one of my riskier stocks which also has major Britain exposure. All together its a small, around 5%, portion of my portfolio. I belive Europe is offering good value but am having difficult finding other decent ways to invest there- especially given that through TD Waterhouse I cannot invest direclty in Eurpean Exchanges without much hassle.
Can you offer 1) some guidance on other potential equities/dividend stocks I could pick up on the other side of the pond that perhaps you have in your portfolios here that I am just not aware are European?, 2) any other companies you are watching with interest not in your current portfolios? Lastly, are you sensing Europe is looking like a good investing ground especially since US is getting so expensive?
If I asked any questions in the wrong way, please forgive me. I am learning and open to any and all correction.
These are my other positions below in case I am not seeing that I have more European exposure than perhaps I think I do.
Thanks for the work you do. I did search for other threads on Europe and did not find any, hence the ask. If I missed them please direct me to the pages.

Q: I have some money in an RRSP and I feel that my diversification is broad enough. My preference is in consistent reliable dividends (nearing retirement) and honestly some potential in a market increase. Which of these would you pick? Also, I would like you to give me a better idea about Centurylink. At what stock price level would you consider to be a purchase point? ( or would you stay away period).
Q: I'm confused as to why PPL Corp has been nosediving recently ? Fundamentals such as P/E, P/B, , Roe @ 14.6%, a nice dividend, all seem pretty positive to me ? Debt could be a touch high, but growth seems positive, I'm not sure whats occuring ?
Thanks Ed

Q: What is the ticker symbol for the new rate reset preferred shares described in the question by Wayne today? Joe
Q: Could you please comment on the latest Q3 earnings for the above, also balance sheet and forward outlook. Thanks
Q: What causes the big down draft today (and of late) against the pipelines such as PPL and others (such as ENB and TRP). Thanks.

Q: energy.
which 7 names in the energy sector would you recommenced should the sector begin to recover. ( oil $55 ish ) NG $3.50 ish
criteria :
leverage
reasonable balance sheet
good management
good future prospects .
Would you agree that; there might be a strong spring like bounce as many will buy, who are waiting for a recovery and have no or a very small position.
thanks

Q: VSN and PPL deal - in the Q&A you mentioned the stock swap would be tax free where is this information listed. Thanks
Q: PPL's share price has been falling for the last month or so and pipelines as a group (TRP, ENB, KEY and IPL) are facing similar pressure though by different degrees. Where does this headwind come from and what was he cause? Thanks.
Q: I realize this is a subjective question. Amongst ENB,IPL,ALA, PPL.
Based on 10 / 10 being really good; Please give me a number for each based on "overall quality of company", past 10 year historical track record, safety of dividend and future growth.
thanks

Q: Would appreciate your thoughts on recent spike in share price of these two companies in particular WTE where it is a coal play yet TEcK.b share price tanked because of the outlook of coal prices?
Thank you
Thank you
Q: PPL and others in the utility pipeline space have taken a major haircut in the last few days for no reason at all. Is the threat of a Fed rate increase really to blame? In real financial terms that is really immaterial. However, market movers have been using all threats (real or otherwise) to further their games of stirring stock movements. What is your take on this? Thanks.
