Q: What are your total return estimates (per year) for the above Utilities over the medium term (3-5 yrs.)?
Pls. include any utility that I have missed that would crack the top 3.
Are there any of the top 3 that would come with elevated risk?
Thanks, Hugh

I am contemplating replacing Fortis with a greener utility. I already own BEP. What are your best suggestions please in Canada and the US and their relative risk rankings. Thank you, Michael

Q: Hello - I am an income investor. My view has been to construct my portfolio with companies that pay growing dividends as a way to offset inflation. With BCE’s announcement of reduced expected dividend growth in the future I am considering shifting that portion of my portfolio somewhere else. Can you please provide the stated expected ranges of dividend growth (as a %) of these companies? Please take all the credits you wish. Thank you

Q: I am finally going to dump my AQN holdings and would like to redeploy capital to get similar dividend yield. I hold hold postions in all of the other stocks listed. How would you rank order them in terms of value/upside and are there any particular standouts which you would recommend for a buy now. Thanks

Q: Hello 5i Team

I currently hold in my US$ denominated RRSP Brookfield Renewable Partners L.P. (BEP) to avoid complications with taxation of BEP.UN in a taxable account.

I want to proceed with buying Brookfield Renewable Corporation (BEPC) in my taxable account to receive Canadian Eligible Dividends. I would then sell my BEP holdings in the RRSP.

Could you please provide your top 5 ideas in the US market (i.e. NYSE or NASDAQ listed) for electrical utility and or renewable electrical generation to replace the BEP units in my RRSP.

Thank you

Q: These are my current holdings and I am looking forward to 2023. They are held in relatively the same quantities in 5 different accounts, a RRIF, 2 TFSA's and 2 Non registered accounts. I am retired an enjoy the income. Do you see any issues with these holdings or have any suggestions looking forward. The only non dividend holding is AR.
Take any extra credits as necessary. Thank you in advance. Enjoy and appreciate 5i'S help. Happy New Year.

Q: My wife has $75,000 to invest in her TFSA, in which she is also holding 100 shares of TD Bank along with 100 shares of TD in an RSP. She is retiring in a month has a defined pension plan, CPP, OAS. But she is still looking for dividend income either monthly or quarterly to supplement her income.
We are looking at going with "Beating the TSX Portfolio 2022" but also looking at ZWU and ZWC which look like they could bring in more income but higher fees. What are your thoughts? Thank you.

Q: My only oil/gas exposure is via the pipeline stocks listed. I am virtually at a break even point on PPL and up on TRP and ENB. I am thinking that some exposure to a oil producer is a good thing. I am thinking of selling PPL and using the proceeds to buy SU. Thoughts?

Q: I'd like your opinion in regard to which of the above would be the best investment over the next five years? Perhaps you could rank them from highest to lowest in your opinion. I've included BIP because of their likely acquistion of IPL and the broad level of infrastructure that they represent. With thanks, Don

Thank you

Q: I would like to have a little fun with this question. Imagine a boxing match between Canadian companies and American companies...each round is represented by a sector so lets say it is a fight gone bad and there are extra rounds covering 11 sectors. Please pick a favourite Canadian Contender and a strong American contender for each round and who wins the round. Example Round 10 Technology Red corner Constellation Software vs Blue corner Microsoft. Won by Microsoft or Constellation Software. The rules...If you wish to give reasons why the round went one way or another, it's your choice. A good clean fight use the criteria of your investment strategies. The point...I am curious if the Canadian Companies stack up and in what areas I should be looking at South of the border. Thank you
