Q: Retired investor with RIF and pension income looking to deploy capital to generate growth (moderate risk) and income. Please provide 5 companies each in the US and Canada to investigate further for investment soon. Canadian banks and utilities owned, so please exclude those.

Q: do you think the whole brookfield group, bn, bam, bip.un, bep.un are dropping like crazy because the bad press getting lately with mark carney etc. or is it just because market on whole. They have all taken a good kicking the last two months or more.

Q: Only within the last two months we were at record highs, now we’re in a bear marker for the Nasdaq and S&P nearing one. Futures are selling off again here Sunday night. US administration is digging the heels in on these tariffs.

What are your thoughts on the Trump and Fed put? If they don’t change course soon, the economy is going into a recession and midterms next year will be ugly for the GOP. Looking back at all previous crises, what do you think will happen in the next 6-12 months and what’s the game plan? VIX at these levels and large consecutive down days have resulted in nice future returns 1,3,5 years out. Let’s say you had 100k to invest now, how would you deploy over the upcoming weekly or monthly interval? Which 5 CDN and 5 US stocks would you continue to buy on any weakness, assuming only market related? Thank you!

I hold the securities listed above, as well as a couple of more stable ETFs and some cash in my TFSA. I am aware that things are going to be volatile at least for the near future but am wondering in what order an investor might deploy cash to any of these securities given the correction we are experiencing.

Q: I own BN with no intention of selling, but I find the dividends of the other Brookfield's interesting for my RRSP account with the potential of some capital growth as well. I know this type of question has been asked in the past, but not since the market downturn. Q: A BNN guest said the Co. or someone else said they predicted that in 5 years the Co. would have $30. per share of cash flow which should mean a share price of $170. Are you aware of any such report?
