Q: Could you please comment on TRI, its valuation and why it defies gravity seemingly independent of its peers? Does it have comparables and what is future growth potential?

Q: Hi team ,
Sq share price continues to struggle in this environment. With a long term horizon is it still worth holding on to this name for better days in tech stock performance? When I had first purchased it I envisioned great growth ahead with its pos and cashless payments systems. Is the story still in tact or are there better names to own at this point? Particularly inside of a tfsa?

Q: I have asked questions about core portfolio and compounders. I would like to refine my query to building a concentrated core portfolio [say, 20 CAD-USD total]. I start with the allocations greater than 5% in the 3 portfolios. BN is less than 5% on its own, yet, I wonder whether it would not be the core Canadian financial stock. As for US, there are many Fav lists, but could you boil it down to 10. For each stock, please provide key rationale for choosing it and a target buy price.

Q: I am 100% equity in Canada and mostly ETFs in USA....My plan is to stay that way but I am thinking to try and beat the average in the USA by adding a few individual USA stocks. Can you suggest a few NON-MAMAA stocks that you would consider as good to outperform the broad market in the USA. I have a very diversified and balanced portfolio so have no restrictions in terms of asset class. Not looking for a hot growth stock, but more of a buy and almost forget return booster for my USA investments.

Q: I want to invest in 5 or 6 of the above companies, using CDRs on the NEO exchange. I know you like them all, but I need to narrow it down a bit, based on available funds. Although it will be in a non-registered account, the goal is very long term growth. My wife and I will not need the money, so essentially I suppose I'm investing for my children. If two of the stocks are roughly equal in growth potential, then I would choose the one that adds a bit of diversification. But I don't mind if they are correlated and all move up together. It is probably easiest for you to answer this question by rank ordering them, and I will pick the first 5 or 6. Thank you for such great service over the years.

Q: Hello,

Are there any US or Canadian companies you see as attractive opportunities for medium to short-term option plays? Short-term being less than a year (3-6 months, medium-term being 1-2 years. I understand these short-term price changes can really be a toss-up, but am cautiously optimistic about the market pricing in current fears and moving upwards over the next year.

Q: What are your current thoughts on TEAM (Atlassian)? Do you see much upside for it this year if these market conditions continue and the fact that it is not profitable? Is it undervalued or overvalued at this point? Or do the long term potential benefits outweigh the current headwinds it is facing? Do you see it as a buy, hold or sell at this point? Held in a registered account so a small tax loss is not possible. Q: I hold the above stocks in my Unregistered,TFSA,and RRIF accounts. I understand that as of January 1, 2023, the IRS will require a 10% withholding tax when Canadian residents sell US stocks. Does this rule apply to sell any of the above mentioned my stocks ?

2) If I sell above Stocks before end of 2022, will I avoid paying new IRS 2023 10% withholding tax?
