Beside Nutrien 3 % in my investments I don't have any stocks in the food Industry. What's your outlook on Premium Brands today, is it a good buy at 80 $ with a 3.6 % dividend. Simply wall st reported today an intrinsic value up to 44 %. If Not do you have better ideas, Loblaws, Restaurant Brands, etc

Q: I have PBH in my TFSA and don’t need the money for a decade or more. It just seems to keep going down, seldom catching a bounce as the market does from time to time.
Is there a fundamental problem or good time to average in for long term growth?

Q: I am a but overweight consumer staples and would like to sell either CCL.B or PBH to raise some cash for better opportunities elsewhere. Both are in a registered account so no tax implications. Which one would you sell at this time and why?

Q: If I am selling this loosing stock in my RIF Account for the purpose of generating cash for my mandatory withdrawal - can I immediately start a smaller weight in my cash account trusting that there will be upside in the future. I assume there are no tax consequences since it was in a registered account.

Q: I want to crystalize tax loss in my non-reg account for PBH. Would you replace it with another stock or just wait in cash and repurchase after the 30 days?

Q: I'm perplexed by these "defensive" stocks. Both are breaking down with the market. Shouldn't food and insurance companies fare better? They haven't and now I wonder when the market turns if growth companies will fare better and lead the market higher (eventually). So what's in store for these companies going forward? Throw in the towel and put into growth companies?

Q: Wow, it appears that there will be further, possibly much further decline in stock prices over the next while. That got me thinking/wondering about trimming of selling Canadian stock held in the TFSA....and these stocks are also held in a trading and registered account. Some, like ATZ and PBH are in the consumer discretionary sector, a sector that might be considered more risky in the current market setting. An others, like GSY that is the loan business, a subsector of the financial sector. And finally, there is industrials like TFII, and a US position in TT that also sells into Europe which is in turmoil. This is a sample of the holds that are still in a gain position. Would you consider trimming back to a more risk appropriate weighting, selling the ones in TFSA and avoid income tax or just hold and ride it out???....Thanks for your insight....Tom
