Q: ESSA Pharma is just one example of an exciting pharma in a topically interesting (prostate cancer, aging population…) area but with impenetrable valuation characteristics. Can you say whether this stock’s prospects are worth its price? Are there other early-stage pharmas you like?

Q: This is NOT a question but a comment!

I of course benefit from the words of wisdom of Peter and his team. Peter with his extensive experience and having worked with some giants in this field like Eric Sprott has so much to share.
However I also benefit from fellow subscribers' questions/comments. Today (15-01-2024) Dave mentioned about Don Coxe in his question about LB.TO. It brought fond memories of Don Coxe whose columns on FP (previous iteration) I used enjoy. Arguably one of the most elegant financial writers whose USD:EURO ratio was very popular once. I presume he has retired. Please do share the link if Don Coxe is still writing columns anywhere!

Q: Hi,

I would like to purchase a large, dividend paying US stock that has some potential for future growth (or is currently undervalued) in my RRSP. Could you provide some suggestions?

Thank you,
Evan

Q: I realize this question is outside of your area of expertise but I have been reading your Q&A for years and am always amazed at your (and your members) breadth of knowledge. My CND morther recently passed away. She owned no property and all her assets were in TFSA's (4 children listed as beneficiaries) and GIC's in a nonregistered account. All asssets are to be evenly split amongst the 4 chidlren. I am the executor and my only question is, I have a sister in France that is to receive her share 1) does she have to pay any tax on the registered and nonregistered monies she receives or is it the same as in Canada where it is not deemed as income and is not taxed 2) with all the safeguards in place for fraud and money laundering are there limits/issues transfering her $80,000 inheritance and what is the best way to send it?

Any comments welcome

Q: Would you be able to please comment on LMAT (NASDAQ)? I believe the balance sheet is good, and about 10% insider ownership.

Is valuation okay vs it's growth rate? Do you see any concerning competition in their business? Any other comments?

Q: Hi,
I am under weight in both international and fixed income.
I have US$ cash in both my RSRP and TFSA that I'd like to invest in these areas.
Can you recommend some US$ ETF's.
Much appreciated.

Q: Cameco, Denison, and Mega Uranium are really ripping today on good volume. The charts look good in my view, these names have moved up steadily for quite a while now. News now out that the worlds largest producer Kazatomprom has a large shortfall in supply. I just took a meaningful position in Denison Mines. I vividly recall the uranium mania that took hold in 2007 prior to fukishama and the parabolic movements that took place in the stock charts with respect to uranium.
What do you believe are the similarities/differences re: events that shaped the frenzy in 2007 versus the excitement today about these names. Could these names have similar parabolic moves in your opinion ?

Q: I am looking for new healthcare stocks after selling Lantheus and InMode in the last 6 months. I currently own WELL. Quite a few have had a good run up lately so not sure if they are good buys at current valuations. What are recommendations? US or CAD, doesn’t matter. Should I buy an ETF instead?
Thank you in advance
