Q: I have held the 2 companies for several years now. I'm thinking about selling one as they have both been under performers. Which one do you think as the better longer-term growth.
Thanks

Q: Hi,
I've done very well with NBIS and GLXY. They are 6.4% and 4.2% of my portfolio now. What do you think about some of these other names or would you stick with NBIS and GLXY? Many have pivoted to AI compute from bitcoin and it seems as though some of these smaller names can really rip when they announce a new contract and I have a slight feeling of FOMO (although I love the pop on NBIS today). How would you rank these overall in terms of fundamentals, valuation, growth, risk? I'm am definitely sticking with NBIS and GLXY and I would look to trim and start a new position in one or two of the other names if warranted or needed. Thank you!

Q: Hi 5i guys. Understanding that outside N/A isn't really your wheelhouse - what are your initial thoughts on SIVEF? Thanks so much!

Q: Let's say you love a stock, but it's already a big % of your TFSA. Do any of 5i personally decide to let their love of it overflow into an unregistered account?

Q: If you could pick just one company for a 3-5 year investment horizon, would you go with FTT, TIH, or HPS.A? I see that all three companies are at record high, is it too late? Thank you

Q: Good Day,

Recent questions re: 5i folks' ETF holdings lead me into looking at these and other related names for their fit into my portfolio.  Comparing IWMY IWMI QQQI SPYI and RDTE,  from what I understand they're largely return of capital, which >can< be tax efficient.  Would these be optimal in a taxable account? Do they have any place in an RRSP or TFSA?  With the ROC component, is there merit in [synthetic] DRIPing these, maintaining a cost basis (if in a taxable account), but growing the number of units while I have employment income?  I find the weekly component of IWMY intriguing, as share count could grow rapidly, creating a solid base income in retirement (8-12 yrs from now).  Is this something that one can  (or should) hold for that long?

Of the ones listed, are there any you would stay away from? If so, why?
Are there any others worth looking at in this space?
Is there a different type of ETF that could achieve this goal?

Thanks for everything!

Q: Hi 5i, I have a question relating to FHSAs. I’ve been trying to pin this down and have been through the CRA’s postings as well as 5i’s Q&A and Chris’ blog on the FHSA. I think I know the answer but I haven’t been able to find a statement of it spelled out as clearly as I would like. The question is this: If a young person contributes annually to an FHSA, can they accumulate and hold their tax credits over a number of years so they can claim their deductions in future years when presumably their income and marginal tax rates will be higher?
Thanks for any help!

Q: Hi 5i Research Team,
I would appreciate your thoughts on today’s merger of equals between Equinox Gold (EQX) and Orla Mining (ORLA).
From an investment perspective, which company do you believe currently offers the better opportunity to participate in the upside of the combined entity? Based on today’s market reaction, valuation, exchange ratio, and expected synergies, would you lean toward buying EQX or ORLA at current levels?
Also, do you see any short-term dislocation or arbitrage opportunity between the two stocks following the announcement?
Thank you in advance for your insight.

Q: I have to big of an allocation of Brookfield corporation in my portfolio and wanted to trim a bit and diversify in Waste Connections Inc(WCN). WCN has dropped and the CEO seems to be buying up shares and I like the stock and industry longer term. Do you have any objections to buying shares of WCN here or do you have any other stock suggestions to divest my gains into?
