Q: I was away on holidays for the last few weeks and have watched the whole CRWD disaster unfold but did not do anything with my shares. CRWD has a whole section on their site about the issue but of course nothing on how they will compensate their customers. Am worried that each new lawsuit may knock the stock price down more and it may not recover for years. But on the other hand, maybe the big sell off is over. I am still up nicely BUT at this point, with the share price down around 40%, would you consider selling all or some, or hold? Thank you.

Q: There is blood on the streets. Would you give your blessings to step in here and buy, say, a 1.5% position if one is aiming for a 3% position? I have no exposure to cyber security.

Based on your experience, can lawsuits, such as those announced today, cause meaningful downward pressure?

Have we seen the worst, and would you cautiously proceed?

Thank you

Q: Tech is the second largest weighting in my portfolio (at 20%). I have 3/4 of a position in PANW, with most of my initial investment out, and am up 474% on the remainder. I also own NVDA, AMD, APPL, FISV, MSFT and a few other small, high risk non-cyber security positions.

With the outage crisis this week with CRWDI decided to take advantage, understanding the potential overhang. I opened a position in 2 tranches; buying in the $256-$265 range.

My question: Now I have approximately 1.5 positions in the cybersecurity sub-sector. Would it make sense to sell off some or all of PANW, generate cash to create a full position in CRWD as it bounces along in the $250 range, or is the better move to stay with the two positions?

Q: A number of good names in US have significantly pulled back recently. Do you consider the names above buys at current prices? What order would you be buying these names, is there any of these names you would wait for better entry points? Please deduct credits appropriately.

Thanks
Tim

Q: I'm writing to seek your expertise on the recent global IT outage caused by CrowdStrike. As the dust settles, the question on everyone's mind is whether CrowdStrike will assume financial responsibility for the damages incurred. If so, the compensation could be considerable. As an investor in AI stocks, I'm eager to know if this situation presents a strategic buying opportunity. In your opinion, how will this IT outage affect CrowdStrike's long-term prospects and stock performance? Will it have a lasting impact on their reputation and investor confidence? Thanks

Q: What are your five favourite software opportunities in Ai, with a brief reason why for each? It would help if you could list or rank them in terms of upside as well (most upside first).

Q: Hello, Currently I hold NVDA, Meta, Google, and Palantir stocks in the tech sector. Could you recommend additional stocks that would complement my portfolio during this AI boom? Thank you.

Q: How should one employ the forward price to sales multiple to determine value? What I’m trying to figure out is when to avoid a stock that has gone over its skis as they say. Take stocks from ultra to pstg to Crwd - we go from 1 x earnings to 23 x. By that gauge, one presumably buy Ultra. But when I think of value, I remember how I once bought Rim over Apple because the former looked cheaper. Can you comment on any guideline for us of this metric? Thank you,

Jason

Q: Hi 5i,

I have a question about currency as it relates to investments made to the TSX or US stock exchanges.

I am embarrassed to ask given this was likely a rookie move; posting publicly in case it helps others.

I have made investments via my TFSA, LIRA, RRSP and self directed investment account in some US equities (above).

What I perceive now to be a "problem" is that all purchases of US stocks (including those with dividends) were made out of my CA account of said RRSP, TFSA, LIRA etc. given I did not hold any USD$ in my investment accounts.

Yesterday there were a few questions around Norbert’s Gambit approach (which I am not familiar with) and I have since realized the error of my ways. Here are my questions - knowing you cannot personalize responses - but if it were YOU :

- 1) As a Canadian, should the purchase of any US equity always be purchased using US funds in said investment account? OR when available - should you purchase on the CA stock exchange?

- 2) What is the best way to transfer CAD from said investment account into the US corresponding account if one wants to be mindful of fees, exchange rates etc. (is that Norbert's approach?)

-3) What would you suggest I do for the US equities I currently own in CA accounts? Is there anything to do?

Please use any credits you see fit.
Thanks a Million.
