Q: Hi Peter and Team
Looking for guidance on US holdings in a non registered account. My feeling from following your questions is that the US market would likely do well next year or 2 and that I should not invest 100% in Canada. Can you list 5 US securities that you see as good growth for next 2-3 years holding ?

Q: Given the recent run up in certain semi conductor and chip stocks, would it be prudent to use an ETF such as SMH to better diversify risk right now if only one position available in a portfolio? Or, going the individual stock route, how would you rank the following in a moderate risk portfolio QCom, AVGO, TXN, NVID, AMD, SWKS, INTC?

Q: Although it is a US equity, it is mentioned here often enough that perhaps you will answer a question about it. APPS has received many favourable comments from 5I; can you explain why you like it? It recently has a noticeable reduction in share price.....is this a buying opportunity or a change in momentum? In a growth oriented TFSA, I am thinking of trimming some NVDA, CRWD, and AMZN to create some funds to purchase a small position in APPS. Those 3 have grown but are not (yet) too high of a weight , this would be to try to boost results. Is it a move you would make, or would you just stay the course? Q: NVEI, MAGT, and UPST have come down drastically since their highs a short time ago. Is this another AT because unfortunately I bought it at $22. I am concerned that these three seem to be doing the same thing.
While I have seen some of my picks recommended by 5i go up drastically of late - NVDA, AFRM CELH, NET and GOOGLE, I would appreciate your thoughts on the ones above-noted going down. Thanks again,

Q: I read your answers to questions every day. I know you really like NVDA. I know they make great chips which are used in many things such as autos, computers (so many variations), games, etc etc. It is unbelievable what they are doing in so many areas. My question is how can they possibly keep up with chip production? Isn’t that the bottleneck on growth?

I have been considering how to improve my TFSA in the New year and am asking you to advice on this. Currently I hold Bam, Magna, Boyd and Microsoft there,among others. I can replace these with Nvidia and Google. Which ones would you replace?

Q: My daughter is starting a TFSA account with $20,000 to invest and a 5-10 year horizon. She wants a balanced portfolio with moderate risk and room for growth and dividend income. Aside from industrials and general tech. What is a thematic ETF you'd suggest for growth right now? Encompassing maybe a favourite stock or 2.

Examples being FINX, SMH, BOTZ, QQQJ.

Q: Good Morning, I have done well on NVDA these past two years and it has become just over 7% of my portfolio. In light of the current positive news on AMD, should an investor (like myself) consider trimming NVDA by 2% and buying some AMD. I know you like to let your winners run, and previous answers show that some members of the 5i team own both of these stocks. Do you still have more confidence in NVDA or has your opinion changed?
