Q: I hold balanced positions in Google, Microsoft, META, Apple, Netflix, NVDA and Amazon. They have all pulled back.

What order would you be adding to these positions?

Are there any that you would not be adding too in the current volatile market?

Thanks
Tim

Q: Recently we have seen many blue chip stocks that had done really well pull back.

Companies like RBC, TD, BN, SHOP, MFC, CNR, CP, JPM, GOOG, MSFT, BRK, and others…

What are your favourite five Canadian and US large cap names that have pulled back recently? Would you be a buyer today or would you wait until the market settles a little?

Thanks
Tim

Q: I read the article by Larry Swedroe of Morningstar about Warren Buffets investing methods from this weekend's 5i suggested reading and was intrigued by the strong intangible moat that is used to describe some of the companies he invested in, can you suggest a couple of companies you feel reflect this currently. Q: I own these 3 low dividend paying stocks on the USD side of my RRIF. All of them have done well. For my mandatory 2026 withdrawal, I plan to do a transfer in kind to my TFSA of whichever one you believe has the best growth going forward. All three will continue to be long-term holds either way.
Thank you for your wonderful service! I seldom ask questions but I benefit from reading the question section daily.

Q: I understand COHR is preparing the paperwork to sell more shares. If I understand correctly they want to raise 1.7 billion. Their current capitalization is just shy of 28 billion so I would characterize them as still a small cap. Any concerns about dilution? Would you mind explaining COHR’s relationship with Apple? I assume COHR is a supplier but of what? Any excessive dependency on a single client? Any thoughts you have would be appreciated. I’m up 280% on COHR so your help is much appreciated!

Q: Happy New Year to the entire 5i community.

It is time to make my 2026 TFSA contribution. My TFSA is a high conviction portfolio focused on a few US securities with a risk profile somewhere in between that of the 5i Growth and Balanced portfolios. Currently, I hold AAPL, ADBE, CRM, GOOG, NVDA, QCOM, and TOL in this account. Which should I add to? I am very overweight NVDA and slightly overweight in GOOG.

If you think initiating a new position would be preferable (US securities only, and not MSFT, LLY, IBM, or MDT since I own these in another account), please let me know. No consideration to sector or market cap necessary as I am diversified in my other accounts.

If you believe any of my current holdings 'do not need to be owned', please let me know as well.

There are several questions here, please deduct as many credits as deemed appropriate for a complete response to each one.

Thank you as always.

Q: I am seeing sell recommendations for ARM from other analysts. ARM designs the CPUs used in almost all cellphones, the current Apple computers and a growing share of data centres. How could this stock be overvalued? What is your projection for the medium to long term?

Q: Hi everyone at 5i thank you all for the great information love this service. So from an analytics point of view I am overweight tech and under weight industrials. Given the recent pull back is this a “good“ switch? This is in a registered account so no tax implications. I’m not that good at charts but it looks like there is some support at $500 for AXON? The other tech stocks I have are NVDA, SHOP, AAPL, CSU, LMN, TOI, of these CRWD is the worst performer only because of the date of acquiring it. I would love to hear your opinion. Thanks again for all your help.

Q: I must shortly divest part of my RRIF to meet legal requirements.
I would like to retain those stocks with the best longer term appreciation expectations.
My candidates for sale are:
AAPL currently overweighted
CNQ
SU
Visa currently underweighted
What would be your suggestion(s)?

Many thanks for your ongoing great work!

Q: The above stocks make up 80.4% of my holdings. Goog and BN @7% each. The next 5 @ 4% each and the rest at or close to 3% each. For a 10 year horizon, with risk/reward in mind, where would you invest if you had 10% of the portfolio in dry powder- new cash. Any you would sell? Note, I have been trimming CLS, VRT and NBIS to control AI exposure.

Thanks again for all the insights - love the service you provide.

Q: It appears Globalstar has not denied the rumours about selling itself to Starlink. So there must be some truth to the rumours. Presumably once Musk controls Globalstar he would cancel or buyout Globalstar’s contract with MDA leaving MDA with no business? I understand Apple owns 20% of Globalstar so they would have to agree to the Musk buyout. I can see Apple not wanting to be at Musk’s mercy but also not wanting to operate Globalstar’s business. Any idea what the future holds for MDA. I’m a shareholder.

Q: Hello Everyone,

May I have your take on Apple and Amazon earnings please. Market seems to like them.

Also was the Microsoft sell off after earnings yesterday to some degree because the stock was priced to perfection?

Thank you.
