Q: Thank you for your terrific website. I need to add funds for my U.S. non registered account. I presently have IWD, DVY and SPY.
How would you compare the performance and outlook for the above funds? 5 year minimal hold.

Q: Hello,

With the recent positive earnings from Facebook and ServiceNow, would you recommend buying at this point? I'm also a long time holder of Visa (stock is down based on yesterdays results), would it also be a good idea to purchase MA at this time as well?

Thanks,
Raj

Q: Hi my question is on Visa/MasterCard. Some consensus says you can tuck away theses stocks for 10 years without too much worry. On the other side, I understand in China and some Asian markets Alibaba uses a different payment system. With emerging blockchain capabilities is there some disruption to Visa's growth. Comments? I am thinking of a new purchase with 3 year time horizon. Do you have a recent report.

Q: I am looking to better allocate some USD in my RRSP. I currently hold IWO and want to build on this with 3 holdings in strong US growth companies/ industries that are proven capital compounders for the long term. I am considering Google and Mastercard and am looking for one more compliment assuming you like the 2 mentioned. Also would you prefer MA over V? My timeframe is 10 years +
Thank you!

Q: I currently own Visa and have done well. I like all of the payment processors. Should I stick with Visa, or take some profits and diversify into another processor? I am considering Mastercard, Square or Paypal.

Q: Hi, I am a dividend growth investor and looking to build a stream om passive income through dividends. I am 40 and have a long horizon (20+ yrs) so I'm not so worried about current income as I am about future dividend income and total return. I invest a part of my income every month. My current portfolio consists of mainly large cap dividend growth stocks in diversified industries in Canada, US and Europe. Mastercard and Visa look like great companies to me, high ROIC, high growth on all fronts, favorable developments that will benefit their business etc. They would also complement my portfolio well as I have no holdings from that industry yet. The only thing I am concerned about is their high valuations at this point.
So my question is, is this a good time to add MA (and perhaps V) to my portfolio? Or is it wise to wait for a pull back? Do you have a price point for entry? Your advice is appreciated.

Q: I want to invest 20 K USD into my TFSA portion of US stocks.
I already have FB 3.6%,SHOP 6.1%,CGNX 5.1%,AMZN 3.3%,NVDA 4.7%, SQ 4.7%.
Im thinking of buying MA & NFLX. Please provide me with an idea of 2 or 3 additonal
US stocks with growing trend like the one I mentioned in my portfolio. What is your
opinion of adding MA & NFLX in contest of my existing US portfolio.

THANKS ANDREW.

Q: Hi David,
I'm looking to add three positions to my business passive account -- i'm up 15% year to date.
I have equal weight in each stock and am looking to add more diversity. A combination of income and growth US or Canadian -- minimum $1 billion market cap.

What would you recommend here.
Thanks,
Raymond

Q: Looking through Visa financial statements for last few years and noticed that they had a 1.5 billion extra tax expense for Q316. It was explained as a non reccuring, non cash and related to visa Europe acquisition. So I calculated the p/e without that 1.5b non cash expense and got 31x, which seems much more reasonable than 39x. Is my assumption correct? And do you consider V better investment long term than MA or SQ(which I am might go half position on)?
