Q: Portfolio Analytics indicates I am over allocated and perhaps over diversified in Financials: BAM.A 2%, BNS 2%, TD 4%, X 2%, BRK.B 4%, MA 6% and Industrials: CCL.B 1%, CNR 4%, NFI 1%, FDX 3%, HON 3%, LMT 6%.
Which positions would you recommend trimming or eliminating?

Q: Hi, I'm looking to add to the fintech world. I'm sure online purchases and contact-less (cash less) payments only continue to increase.

What is your favorite growth stock in this category (1) overall, and (2) one that is well positioned to succeed in both the physical space (contact less at stores) and online (web payments).

Q: Given the current environment, which do you foresee having a good recovery from today's lows. How would you rank these companies listed to purchase today to deploy some cash. Which would you rank this list for risk from high to low. (not considering sector allocation.
Do you have any other recommendations outside of this list that you think might have more potential?

Q: I feel I am over exposed in the Canadian Financial sector with TD and BNS making up 9% and 11% of my portfolio respectively. I also hold 20% VRGO. I wish to sell one bank and increase some of my US equity positions such as MA, V, CRM, MSFT, AMZN for more growth and capital gains. Long term outlook is 5+ years. Does this plan sound reasonable in regards to timing and outlook, and which bank would you prefer to hold?

Q: I was planning to sell DFS but stopped when the stock price fell almost 10% after earnings release. Were the results THAT bad? The company stated its expenses were significantly higher than budgeted. There is insufficient information in the release or the call transcript for me to determine if the high expenditure is INVESTING in the business ---or just very poor management .

What is wrong with this idiot management... To wit: the company claimed expenses will be high due to tech. But the need for financial institutions to spend on technology is not new--- that’s been known for decades!

Earnings grew by 22% last year but are forecast not to grow at all next year.... does this sound correct or is the company setting a low bar for itself? Shares are now some 45% below fair value , it seems (?)

Can management be trusted after the incredibly poor budgeting and even worse marketing ? To quote Warren Buffet, “...be aware idiots will one day run the company you invest in” ( Source is the book “Snowball”). My efforts to escape dumb managements the world over have proven to be as futile as attempts to escape gravity.
Notwithstanding my above-noted frustrations, do you think its fine as a continuing hold based on:
PEG ; ROE ; ROCI and other measures like FCF etc

Q: Can you explain how GPN was better than the newer fintech plays like SQ + PYPL last year?

Is this a trend that will continue?

What's going on in this space?

Thanks as always.

Q: Hello

I read MA is to acquire tech firm for an undisclosed sum. Since then, the stock has been dipping down .
Would you see this acquisition a plus to the company and would you recommend buying some stock here?
MX - stock is down drastically since Dec2018 and did not recover yet.
The company stated they reached an 5 year agreement with ENAP for natural gas supply to its Chile operations.
What is your outlook on the company in general and do you see the stock recover soon ?

Thank you
