Q: Am I missing any major sectors with these stock investments?
Where should I focus if I would like to ensure a diverse portfolio?

Q: Hi guys,

I'm looking for potential opportunities in the energy space where the line between clean and fossil, as well as energy vs utilities seems to blur more and more. Also there seems to be increasing suggestion that big oil is interest to move into this space with investment and engineering capital.
Are these corporations good opportunities and if so do they look to be positioned as underpriced for growth relative to the current frothy players like npi and bep?

Q: Both these giants have publicly commented on hoping to turn their respective battleships in the renewable direction. Both currently pay healthy dividends (5.5% and 8.2%), and have taken a whalloping in the market. Wondering if you feel these companies have the cash and asset reserves to protect these dividends (small cuts would still be acceptable at the current rate), and hold steady on valuation, or dare I say it, grow in the long run? Looking to add to a corporate account I try to fill with sustainable/steady players paying 3.5-6.0%. Have a 20+ year time frame.

Thanks,
Mackenzie

Q: Given the dividend cut today - does your view regarding the odds of cuts for Canadian Bank stocks as well as other blue chip Canadian dividend payers change. I realize that RDS is in a very tough industry right now but I would say the severity of the cut was pretty surprising and I wonder if there will be similar surprises in Canada for "undoubted" dividend payers in the past.
