Q: I was underwater with BNS for over a year and I just stopped looking at it. Reinvested the dividends and collected more shares and waited it out. Today my shares are back in the black, up 30%. Nice to see BNS getting some recommendations in the questions too, over the last month or so.

Now I am just waiting on BCE...

Q: What do you think of digital core reit? It is out of singapore but also recently listed in Canada. It pays dividends in US dollars. It may be an interesting (speculative) play on data centres? is it worth taking a bite?

Q: Good morning,

I'm trying to help my daughter (who is in her late 20s) with her portfolio which is a bit difficult because she is morally opposed to several lines of business (crypto, oil/gas, AI, defence to name a few) however I did notice she doesn't have any major CA bank equities at the moment. Some of my co-workers use a different research company who I think recently advised their clients to sell TD. I didn't see any recent questions on here about the CA banks lately so could you please tell me what your preferred bank is at this time (regardless whether I listed it or not.) It will be for a long term hold in her FHSA.

Cheerio,

Q: Regarding articles by Peter in the Financial Post, the answer to David on Nov 26 suggested "Note to Members without a subscription, we do also publish these articles in our blog section." I have looked at the Blog page today (and look at it fairly regularly) but don't see the article then referred to or any others. Can you pls point me to where I should be looking? Thanks

Q: In response to David regarding your articles you said...

Note to Members without a subscription, we do also publish these articles in our blog section. "

I have searched your Blog area and cannot find this at all. Pls advise.

Q: I have owned BCE & T for a very long time. Even with BCE dividend cut I am up a lot (including dividends paid). T is in the doldrums and share price is stagnant. Should I sell these two and buy CGO: low payout ration ROE of 10% but a ton on debt. CGO up a lot this year! Or, sell T and BCE and not buy CGO. I am 77 YO. T & BCE are a small % of total portfolio.

Q: I am an 80 year old value investor. In a diversified portfolio in all sectors, covered call ETF's as per above, make up 10% of my portfolio. I am satisfied with that and all but two are up. 30% of holdings are ETF's including the covered calls.
QUESTION:1. Am I holding too many covered call ETF's? They seem to take the stairs up and the elevator down faster than single stocks. 2. Is it supposed that the covered call ETF's will plunge faster than the single stocks in an expected steep correction?
Thank you

Q: Hi, can you give me a top level summary of the differences between Mutual Funds and ETF's? And which would you prefer when choosing funds to allocate dollars to the Global Market?

Thank-you!

Q: How would you rank these for growth? I own GLXY and NBIS already. GLXY is 3.5% and NBIS 1.62% position. I could add more to NBIS or start new positions in either CIFR, IREN, HUT or HIVE. I see you recently started a new position in HIVE, but assuming you could choose between all of these companies, how would you compare or rank HIVE to HUT, IREN and CIFR as new AI/HPC plays from bitcoin miners? Thanks!

Q: Hi. I have tried a couple times to submit this question now...

My kids have a family RESP. Oldest child will be starting post-secondary in 9 years.

Currently have GLXY, BN, SIS and T.
What will be good holdings to add to this? If sector diversification is not taken into consideration, what will be good to add?

Thank you.
