Q: Early last year we invested 25% of our cash into the listed ETF's. We have another 50% of our cash in GIC's and 25% in an assortment of stocks. As you know they pay good dividends and we experienced good capitol gains growth on some of them last year, others were up marginally. We are looking at these as long term holds for income and would just like your thoughts on our choices. Would you recommend a different mix of ETF's.
Thanks Ron

Q: Last question on these two companies as late December, and I am interested if your take has changed. I just sold CAT, and am looking at repositioning into one of the maintainers of its equipment; largely to get out of the $US and potential risks to CAT of Trump policies.
What is your take on these 2 companies and which would come out ahead for an investment now?

Q: I am looking to diversify outside of North America. The iShares EEM is an option. Would Vanguard or BMO have a good option as well?
Q: In your opinion where might the better return be found between American economy or developed non American and reasoning? I realize that this can be a very convoluted conjecture. Thanx.
Q: Is AAPL a buy right now? Why is it down so much?
Q: I have held BIR for a number of years but was unaware that a management change had taken place, presumably somewhat recently.
Since management quality is so important to the future prospects of companies, would you have the resources/time to be able to provide a management change alert with commentary on the implications, whenever one occurred for the companies in your portfolio coverages as well as those on your watchlist?
I believe that companies are required to notify of management changes at senior levels, however, it is difficult for outsiders to evaluate the significance of such.

Q: Your updated analysis of dht.un would.be appreciated.
Q: How should I measure geographic diversification within a small cap growth portfolio of 15 Canadian companies? Say for example if Kraken Robotics gets 30% of its revenue from international, and Aritzia gets 60% from the US. Even though they are Canadian companies, can I reasonably say I have some diversification outside Canada based on source of revenue? Or is this a Canada only portfolio and thus not diversified geographically?
I consider this portfolio in my TFSA to be my fun money to invest for growth, so I’m not as concerned about perfect diversification like we have in our conservatively managed RRSP where equities are split 1/3 each between Canada, US and international.
Thanks for all you do!
