Q: Peter and Ryan: Firstly let me congratulate you both on the launch of i2i and I look forward to your information rollout in the near future.
While I wait maybe you can give me some direction on two US stock that are dragging down my foreign portfolio. Both EBS and CHGG have preformed poorly this past month, should I cut my losses and redeploy elsewhere or hang in and wait?. I am open to new ideas and have a high risk tolerance.

Q: Hi 5iR, What would be your top 3 Canadian Natural Gas O/G junior to intermediate companies? Am looking for companies with at least 60% NG production, i.e. TOU at 82% as an example. In addition, if there is some 5iR expertise on the US side what would be your top picks there?

Q: Reading your answer/comments on their latest quarter where you say, "we see no real concerns from the quarter"; by using the word "real" this statement implies to me that there are some concerns as opposed to saying; "we see no concerns..." . This is a comment in response to the question Dale posed earlier about Norbert's Gambit. If I understood his comment correctly, he uses N.G. for CAN. to USD conversions, but can't for USD to CAN.
I use N.G. for both, but mostly for USD to CAN. and I wonder if it is more a function of his broker? I use RBC Direct Investing (for better or worse), but I do find that I have no problems with using Norbert's Gambit at all. The first time I did it, I called D.I. for some help and they were fully aware of the process and had absolutely no qualms about it as a currency exchange mechanism.
Perhaps if Dale posted to the Forums, those of us who use it both ways could offer some suggestions?

Q: I was confused by your answer to the Q "Norbert's Gambit appears to work well to convert CAD to USD. However, this Gambit does not work for the reverse conversion. Do you have any suggestions as to how to limit your foreign exchange conversion fee, while limiting risk, when converting from USD to CA" .........why would converting from USD to CAD less efficient than CAD to USD using Norbert's Gambit?

Q: I am considering selling KEY for a tax loss. In this context which company would you suggest as a proxy to buy in the 30 day period before KEY could be bought again, without offending the CRA in terms of superficial selling.

Q: I had a GIC come due last week in my RRIF, which is managed by an advisor.
They advised buying a bond fund, Dynamic Edge Conservative Class A, MER is 1.89%. What do you think about this fund, it is a fund of funds?
What would you suggest ( for a senior) as an alternative. The amount $30,000.00. The GIC rate is about 1%.

I thought Electrovaya's numbers were decent and yet stock sold off. Was this sell on good news and do you think it has potential in energy space? I have small position on Xebec but was wondering to raise to full position as opposed to buying Greenlane for diversification? Also, any reason why Enwave is chugging higher as your previous comments were not that positive. What has changed? Finally, is it too late to enter Shopify? i am sort of glad to have held onto blackberry and finally got a bit of pay off today.. Q: This ttl return bond fund is half corp bond and about 1/3 prov. bond. It seems to have low volatility. Can't find anything about duration. Is this fund suitable for the times?

Looking to add TSU to my TFSA. It is more expensive than other insurers but seems to be more of a growth story than the others that I consider more as income stocks. They have had good results and the outlook still indicates further growth. Can you provide a few more details on this company? Do you know management or background?
Hard to find growth that is not TECH.

Q: I read this is an article from Matterhorn Asset Management:

"Your best friend and protector in this ignominious company of bubble assets and falling currencies are precious metals in the form of physical gold and silver.

But please ignore PAPER gold and silver (including ETFs) which one day will be worthless."

I hold both both of these funds in approximately equal percentages. Should holding my precious metals via Sprott alleviate any concerns I should have about the investment becoming "worthless"?

Q: It seems that Northern Genesis has merged with Lion Electric, a Canadian company producing electric buses and now electric trucks. It seems that POW owns a 31% interest in Lion and both co-founders of AQN are also involved in this endeavour . Would you consider this a good play in the EV sphere?
