Q: Help me!
My wife and I have a competition running in our TFSA accounts, which we started a few years back with the same cash balance. She is using the classic passive ETF strategy, except we got pissed off with bonds and moved that portion into QQQ/ICLN (TDB900, 902, 911 & QQQ, ICLN)
I am actively (quite low turnover) trading CDN and US stocks and ETF's
She is handing me my ass!
My current holdings in the CDN account are ATS, BAM, BN, GSY, KXS, XIT, PBH, WELL, WSP and US account AAPL, TFII, VEEV
Ignoring sector allocations (which i still need to look into), please advise any Buy, Hold or Sell recommendations for my current holdings with a 5 year horizon

Q: The above holdings are in an RESP that won’t be required for at least 7 years. For new money, which sectors to add and a couple of suggestions please.
Q: I recently read the Simply Wallstreet report on PRL . Could 5i comment on what you agree/disagree with and why ? Their analysis is below .....
Positives
Earnings are forecast to grow 33.56% per year
Earnings grew by 83.6% over the past year
Negatives
Interest payments are not well covered by earnings
High level of non-cash earnings
Dividend of 2.02% is not well covered by cash flows
Significant insider selling over the past 3 months
They also gave it poor marks for valuation to peers in their Snowflake Analysis diagram
Thanks for your always valuable analysis ......

Q: I currently only own TD bank and would like to add another 1-2 stocks to the financial sector? What are your top picks for this. It is for a RRSP with at least 20 years before retirement.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Hi Team,
In a question yesterday comparing GSY to PRL you had stated that PRL is "slightly cheaper" than GSY. Is that forward earnings you are looking at? I ask because my brokerage shows GSY with a current P/E of 11.98. It shows PRL with a current P/E of 20.48 , which on that metric (if correct) currently values PRL over 70% higher that GSY. Looking for clarification. Thanks
Shane.

Q: Just read your special report on small caps specifically Go Easy where you cite a growth rate of 17% mainly organically . Could you explain how this growth is accomplished ? To my albeit simple mind the sub prime lending market is something I wouldn't expect to expand unless economic times became perilous as well ..... A brief explanation of how this growth is accomplished across the three sectors of its' business model would be appreciated ? .....
Also between GSY and PRL at current stock prices which do you favour today ? .......Thankyou for your always sound council .....

Q: Would you continue to hold or sell. If holding at what price would you sell at? I bought at $152

Q: Hi,
I have been currently holding these for awhile and have done well on them, other than maybe WELL, which has been lagging a bit lately. Here are my allocations: WELL (1.7%), SLF (2%), GSY (3.5%) and NVDA (3.8%).
Recently in the last few months, I trimmed some NVDA and bought some VRT (1%) and SMCI (1%). For a growth investor, how would you rank these 3 stocks going forward? Would you continue to trim and buy these smaller cap higher growth names. With the run that they've had, I've been a little more cautious of a slowdown.
Also with these other names I'm holding, I'm contemplating trimming or completely switching to higher growth and better quality names with better runway for growth. What are your thoughts? Trim, add or switch? For example, does it make sense to trim a 3.0% position into two names that are only 1.5%? I'm against diworsification. Thank you!
1. WELL to VHI
2. SLF to IFC
3. GSY to PRL

Q: Hi Team,
Is the jump in GSY shares related to the federal budget release? I heard that they left lending cap at 35%? Wondering if this was an overhang that has been lifted for the name?

Q: I have had GSY in my TFSA for a number of years and am pleased with the performance. For this year’s TFSA contribution I am torn between adding to GSY or starting a new position in PRL. I’m concerned about PRL’s steep runup recently and the potential for a sharp decline once I buy (of course!). I actually don’t mind a short term decline as I am intending this as a longterm hold but I do have concerns about catching the PRL wave as it crests. Given the metrics between these two and the current buy price, what are your thoughts on these two - GSY for it’s stellar track record or PRL for outperformance in growth. Thanks for your thoughts!

Q: Hello 5i Team,
I hold these companies between two TFSAs and have room for two more, small cap, Canadian growth companies. What might you suggest. Sector consideration not an issue although I do recognize the importance of diversification.
Thank you
SP

Pacer US Small Cap Cash Cows ETF (CALF)
Q: With the goal of adding good quality growth stocks and using your suggestions ( thank you ), some time back I added BN and GSY to my cash account which is full of telecom, pipes, banks and utilities. I am now looking at these four with my thoughts on them : EQB, Stephen Smith is the main reason I am liking this company . I am overweight banks already- should this factor into the equation ?
CALF, the small cap sector should be getting interesting if rates decline and I could use more US exposure. TFII, management can’t be beat but the industry is suffering ( good or bad for TFII? ),
best to wait and see how industry shakes out?
XIT, ( have 10% portfolio exposure with a US tech ETF ) has significant CSU exposure.
Is my thinking clear? Any single addition would be approximately 3% portfolio weighting. In what order would you buy ? Am looking at buying 2 immediately. Any you wouldn’t buy ?
Thanks. Derek.

Q: CashMoney, LendDirect parent company has filed for creditor protection. What is your interpretation of how this will impact Go Easy? Is it positive and why, or is it a watch out that problems exist in GSY which has been trading lower the last month? Thanks again - John C

Q: In Chris's recent webinar he mentioned the similarities between TCS and DSG as well as the same between GSY and TCS.
Now my question here is if I was only to own one of each of the two which ones have the best opportunities for growth going forward and which meets Warren Buffets criteria most closely?
Thanks
Sheldon
