Q: I have been watching this company for some time. It also has a good dividend. I am thinking of buying now and i realize it is at an annual high. What are your thoughts?
Q: Your answer at the end of August was that XBC.CA was still worth holding. Now with it below $ 3.00 and a 80% loss is it still true. In other words irrespective of holdings is it a buy at its present price.
Q: I sometimes look at Keith Schaeffer's site "Investing Whisperer" when I'm in the market for snake oil. It is a very promotional site (mostly sponsored picks) and has a lot more misses than winners, despite the hype. The recommendations are mostly speculative and most have been dismal failures recently with the return of a healthy level of risk-adversity to the markets.
These reservations aside, I am intrigued by a recent pick that is at least showing some momentum: EWG. Peter, I'd be interested in your take on this one.

Q: Please advise your assessment of WCC and analysis of their last quarter.
Q: Hi 5i!
I try to diversify well my portfolio between sectors but i never paid much attention to allocation between the size of companies. It probably explain the weakness in my portfolio this year, too much invested into small caps.
How would you split your porfolio in % between small, medium and large caps?
I mostly use growth potfolio with some stocks from the balanced porfolio and some us stocks.
Many thanks

Q: As an owner of both the above companies, I wonder your thoughts of ENGH going after STC via acquisition for the UCaaS software, and spinning off the rest of the hardware and services side?
It's not their style, but I think value could be had for both here. ENGH could use debt to finance it, and use the proceeds of a spinoff to pay down / off debt.
Would a transaction like this make sense? I personally would love to see ENGH make larger buys given their cash generation.
UCaaS seems like a good opportunity to braoden for them.
Just trying to get both of these companies going again....

Q: Hello 5i,
I am not thrilled with QCOM YTD -10%. NVIDIA +70% GOOGLE +64%
Do you think more patience is required or NVIDIA would be just a much better company at this point going forward? I am looking for growth and don't care (great deal) about the dividend (although it is nice to have). I know the valuation risk is different but it was the same risks in January yet the results speak for themselves.

Q: Teck has jumped a bit in the last couple of days, apparently on a suggestion that they would strip out their coal operations or perhaps even split into more parts. Do you see this as a likely outcome and if so, what sort of time line would this play out? I have some shares...would you continue to hold or take advantage of the current increase? Many thanks for your excellent service.
Q: I own well-in-the-money options of CPG that expire Jan'22. I plan to exercise them anyways before then; if I do it immediately will I be eligible for the increased dividend? If I do it this calendar year does this trigger a capital gain, or just need to track ACB?
