Q: Hello Peter,
I tried to balance growth and income as well as dividends (no with holding tax in RRSP for US stocks but there is in TFSA), and hence, can you let me know if these make sense for a mid 20s person starting off to have a more growth in TFSA and more income in RRSP.
TFSA: veqt, vgg, and xfn and maybe xic ( veqt has cdn exposure so thought i would exclude xic )
RRSP: vbal, zuq, xic, and xuu all of these trade on tsx. Much appreciated.

Q: CSU is in a RRIF, and CLS is in trading A/C. Have $27000.00 room in TSFA. I am considering tsf 2 of 10 shs of CSU and 100 shs CLS to TSFA. Total approx $22972.. Would like your thoughts before I pull the trigger. Thanks

Q: I have some fund from RRIF that I would like put into a TFSA and was just reading the latest issue of your ETF & Mutual Fund Update report. I am thinking of the above three ETFs and one stock. What are your thoughts. As a perspective, I would include some i2i fund if it was allowed in a TFSA.

Q: Hi again. This is the question I tried asking last night and kept receiving a note for a Server Error.

Q: The Canadian market has been weak lately, and I think Trump's potential tariffs will mean more weakness near term. Rather than top up a TFSA in January, how about waiting for the near term anxiety to produce lower prices, and then get in?

Q: Hi,

Just getting ready to transfer funds from my cash account to my TFSA. I currently have a portion of LMN and KXS in a cash account. I have a larger cap gain in LMN. Which of the two do you feel would be best to move
Into a TFSA. I have the room to move an entire amount of either, but not both.

Or is this a coin toss? The cap gain isn’t much, so really doesn’t matter in the long term. As both have run some in the last month, the decision isn’t as easy as it was when KXS was laboring. Thx

Q: Hello team,
Can you help me understand please whether i should put new monies in TFSA towards bep.un or bepc ? On yahoo, i see bep.un has dividend of 5.87 percent but 1 year return of minus 2 percent where as bepc has dividend of 4.7 percent but one year return of 14 percent. From income and growth perspective, bepc seems to be better bet.. If this is the case, are investors losing out by investing in bep.un? i have huge loss in my rrsp from bep.un so would like to know where to put new monies as it seems brookfield would benefit from the energy transition. Alternatively, am i better off simply putting all my monies in BN and forget the spinoffs.. please explain and thank you ..

Q: I have a gain of US dollars in my TSFA and I would like to withdraw $10000 US dollars before the end of the year. Can I replace the withdrawal in 2025 with $14100 (10000 US dollars times exchange rate 1.41) Canadian dollars?

Q: I'm considering opening a TFSA for a spouse who has a low income. However, he is considered a dual citizen. There seems to be conflicting advice about whether it makes sense to open a TFSA for someone considered a dual citizen,.
