Q: Hi, can you please comment on their recent quarters?
Anything to be concerned about with either company going forward?
I have owned both for several years (full positions) but SIS has seen a bit of slow growth (for me) the last year and I'd like to reduce to a 1/2 position. Can you please suggest an alternate stock(s) (any sector) given today's environment that should offer better growth potential.

Cheers,
Steve

Q: Assuming that the reactions to the tariffs ends up being a great buying opportunity, and also that we've probably passed the crystal ball "sell everything" point, WHEN and WHERE (industries, specific favorite stocks) would you look to put new money in please?

Are there other small caps you prefer?

Thanks

Q: Let us assume there is market downturn of 20% or greater. I am a retired senior and want to be cautious. I have TBills in US and Can.;
Also some BN, DSG , AEM and bonds like ZMMK. Also 10% in ZSP and VFV , XIU.
Any red flags here and suggest some additions. TAKE AS MANY CREDITS as needed to answer this. Thanks. Helen

Q: Is Descartes stock getting expensive or the valuation is reasonable, considering their growth prospects and US policy towards tariff / possible trade wars?

We have been wanting to own this co. for past few years, but stock keeps moving higher. Would you be comfortable starting a new position now, or wait for a pullback ?
Also can you suggest an entry level, please.

Thank You

Q: Hi,

Looking to replace NVDA and VRT. I wish to avoid the AI theme and Mag7. Do you have an handful of tech alternatives to suggest in the US?

Many thanks.

Q: Greetings 5i Team,
I hold these securities in a TFSA and am looking to add a new position. At the same time, I will be trimming some of these as they have done very well.
Could you make a few suggestions for a new addition? Growth is the objective and diversification need not be overly considered (I am well diversified within other accounts).
Thank you for providing this great service.

Q: Hi Folks,

With some uncertainty in the future, including possible US tariffs and reaction tariffs, I curious if you have any thoughts on what those actions might mean for the short and medium term. I assume they would be withdrawn at some point (so not asking long term). Specifically, how banking (TD, BNS), and companies CSU and DSG and the overall TSX. Please free free to deduct 5 questions.

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
I have followed this company for some time and considering wether I should buy it. I think it is inexpensive but not sure if it is a value trap...if you know what I mean and I know you do. Please give me your opinion on this company and what is the risk factor! Thanks your expertise is always helpful in my decisions.

Q: Happy New Year! I bought TFII in June and it's now at the same level. I was thinking of selling a chunk to reinvest in LMN, DSG, DOL and BN. What would your opinion on a hypothetical sell/buy be? How would you rank the purchase stocks? Happy 2025!

Q: Happy New Year. As you have mentioned, Trisura is a frustrating stock, although it shows potential. What would your views be on selling some of it and reinvesting in the other three stocks mentioned? Which order would you recommend buying those three stocks in for maximum long term gains? Thank you.

Q: Greetings 5i Team and HNY,
I see that DCBO is rated 'B' on the Gr Model Portfolio and that recent Q&A has it as a top pick. What would need to happen for the company to be upgraded to 'B+'?

Also, DSG is rated as 'A-' on the BE Model Portfolio; is it safe to assume that you prefer DSG over DCBO or would this be conditions based?

Thank you very much.

Q: I am only interested in holding Canadian Long Term Compounders. I am looking for companies with decent ROIC, ROE and good balance sheets and preferably owner/operators with skin in the game. In the Canadian space of my portfolio I hold CSU, ATD and TFII. My question is could you provide to me 10 small and mid cap Canadian names that you would feel would make the best long term compounders to hold for at least 5-10 years.
