Q: Currently there is a lot of turbulence in markets for many reasons, could you provide a list of 3-5 balanced companies that you would find attractive both at current prices and economic situation.

Q: Hello 5i Team,

I'm down considerably in these US stocks in a taxable account: APPS, DIS, DXCM, EXPI, FB, NET, NFLX, U, and UPST.

I would like to crystallize some losses.

Could you please suggest:

1. The stocks I should sell outright (and suggest a replacement);

2. The stocks I should sell and then re-buy in 30 days (and suggest a proxy); and

3. The stocks I should continue to hold.

Feel free to subtract as many credits as required.

Q: Hi Peter and team.
Significant losses in all of these over last 3-6 months. Would you bail out on any of them and what could I reinvest in 3 CDN and 3 US that have been similarly beaten down but have a better growth outlook ?
Personal account with a fair balance of 40% US securities currently.

Q: Hi Peter,

I am fortunate enough to have added the following big tech names to my portfolio recently. I currently do not hold an ETF although have been considering SPY as I have about 20k US at my disposal. Or take advantage of other big names currently on sale?

Do you feel there’s better ETF’s since I currently have full positions of it’s top 5 holdings?

Q: I'm more a scavenger than a predator, as much interested in dividends as capital gains. Right now, however, I see opportunity in the growth sector as it collapses after years of ridiculous rises. My intention is to sell off bond funds to pick off the debris of this collapse.

First question: Now or wait?

Second question: What are your choices given this scenario, US or Canadian? Bear in mind, I'm not interested in the 5 or 10 yr wait. I'm looking at a bounce back after half the herd has jumped. I want reasonable growth prospects, a price to earnings ratio that isn't stupid and a margin that also isn't stupid. Say, for example, Apple.

You get it. I also don't expect perfection from you. No one ever got it from me.

Q: I'm thinking of selling everything I have and starting over. The only stock I would like to keep is Suncor. Looking for 5-10 companies that will be good solid investments. 3-5 year time frame. Please include at what price you would buy. Take as many credits as needed. Thanks

Q: 5% of my RSP is allocated to a risky/riskier /max growth theme with FB, J, KRBN and NVDA right now. I am looking for 1 or 2 more additions. APPS, U, and CRWD are on my list of considerations. In theory, I could wait 5-10+ yrs for max growth, but knowing my personality, 3-4 yrs is more in line with my expectations.
