Q: What are your thoughts on the last quarter for AC? Is this still a buy or hold if already owned? Looking at adding more as only 1% of the portfolio.
Thanks

Q: Lately, I've been researching companies that sell their products or services directly to consumers such as Angi, Pinterest, Fiverr and Pelaton to name a few. I dig up at least a dozen articles and opinion pieces from various investment-related websites, including yours truly, 5i Research. In the case of the above-mentioned companies, there hasn't been much in the way of negative facts that would lead me to take a pass on any of the above companies,. But, when I go to review websites such as TrustPilot, etc., the percentage of negative comments from consumers of these products or services is extremely high, anywhere from 20% to 70% with ratings of 0 or 1 star. More worrisome is the fact that the number of reviews is in the hundreds which leads me to think that the negative comments do not originate solely from competitors. How much importance would you give these reviews when weighing the pros and cons of an investment in a consumer-facing company?

Q: Good Morning 5i Team,
In your response to a recent question asked about your thoughts on Buffet and Lee-Chin's cash hordes and how much cash to hold in the current environment, part of your response was "Investors are not used to rising rates, and we think some protection is needed. Not necessary in terms of cash but in terms of some portfolio adjustments to companies less susceptible to higher rates (i.e. value stocks over expensive growth stocks). Growth stocks can still do well in a rising economy, but companies with valuations at 15 to 20X sales would see an adjustment with higher rates (of course this has already partially occurred this year). "
I am in the camp needing to make some adjustments, and I'm wondering if you could suggest several U.S. and Canadian stocks that you see as attractive "value" plays at this time.
Thanks very much,
Brad

Would appreciate your expert analysis over the next year or two. Is it a buy, sell or hold. Thanx as usual.

Q: Dear 5i,
AQN pays a common share dividend defaulted in USD.
Is this an "eligible dividend" for Canadian investors?
AQN announcement says Canadian investors can request to receive it in CAD.
Can you help explain how to do this if I hold it in a Canadian brokerage account.
thanks

Q: Retired, dividend income investor. I'm curious of your reaction to mega-investors such as Buffet and Lee-Chin, who have substantial hordes of cash (in the 50% range). They were in the news in the last couple of weeks, basically indicating that the time in now, to increase one's cash allocation. They are finding it difficult to find value in the market and certain sectors are in bubble territory (my understanding of their message).
I know that there are investors on both side of every trade. I also understand that if one removes the biggest names from the S&P, that there is reasonable valuation still there. My own personal belief is we still have room to go, due to low interest rates, increased vaccination rates, recovering economies, reflating the supply chains around the world...the list goes on.
I normally am fully invested, with virtually no cash. However I can't help but wonder whether I shouldn't increase my cash allocation...even though that puts me in the camp of "market timing". I suspect part of your answer will be to increase the cash to your level of "sleep at night" comfort.
Just curious of your thoughts on where we are in the market cycle. Thanks for your help....Steve
