Q: I'd appreciate an update on your analysis of DBM; previously the high debt load has been ID'd as a concern. If one subscribes to the view that the next year or so will still be weighted down by inflation and interest rate challenges is this a stock to buy now (if at all) or put on the watch list for an upturn?

Q: Can you list five companies in your growth portfolio that you would add to at this time.
Thanks Steve

Q: Could you please provide a brief analysis comparing the TSX and S&P valuations now to previous periods when interest rates were at a similar level. I suspect it isn’t as easy as a direct comparison since the weight and make-up of the sectors along with any number of other variables will have changed, but looking for an opinion or best guess based on history as to whether valuations have much further to fall if the assumption is for 5”ish” percent interest rates for a longer period. Thank you.
Q: could you please explain the connection between these two symbols

Q: Can you share your thoughts about OII? It seems that they are a lot more than a supplier to the oil and gas industry.
Q: Is NFI's financial position improving any?
Wondering if I should dump these shares in a TFSA or hold for 3-5 years.

Q: MY ERROR ! I asked the question ... "I have recently come across some US covered call ETF's offering +10% returns on ES Bonds. Sorry, don't have the ticker. They are on streaming platforms and flash by before I can write then down. Can you comment on the danger of such an investment, the stability of the dividend as interest rates are certain to shift. Thanks ! " BUT, I meant to type US (not ES). SORRY. Please deduct a few additional questions due to my typo.
Q: With the NBLY share price below the "take private" offer, is there some reasonably low risk arbitrage here?
Q: Thanks very much for your quick response .... just a comment - while the dividends are back dated when posted, the funds are not available to the Investor until actually posted. Thus the Investor does lose either through loss of interest, or not making further investments when they might have. Most brokerages pay nothing on cash balances.
Q: What is your opinion on ON Semiconductor. What is its forward multiple and growth prospects in this market. Are there other stocks in the sector that you prefer. Thanks for the info.
Q: What is your opinion on HPS.A - is it a worthwhile investment for the long term - is it well run?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: please comment of DIV acquisition announced after close today oct 4
Q: The dividend on ENBR is over 8%. What is the likelihood (probability estimate) of the dividend being cut? Is this an issue that should result in a sale, hold or buy? A dividend rate this high often signals an issue and reason to sell.
Q: JPM.PR.K. Looking at this preferred and wondering if this pref has a reset date and rate similar to our reset prefs...can you tell me if they do , please and thank you , and if so the rate and the date...or are these like a perpetual pref...Cheers
Q: Dividend Pay Dates
We all know that dividend pay dates are a matter of record. My question concerns delays in receiving these dividends. For example, some companies make their payable dates on a Saturday, Sunday, Monday or Holiday. TD Bank is a prime example of this & often has a payable date on a Saturday. As a result, you are lucky if the dividend shows up in your account on the Monday, many times later. Also, some companies declare an extra or Special dividend, normally payable on the same date as the regular dividend. INSW is a perfect example of this, with the regular dividend showing up a day after the payable date & the extra won't be in my account for a week??! It is pretty obvious that someone is making money on the FLOAT - don't know if it is the Company issuing the dividend, some sort of middleman or transfer agent, or the Banks? It certainly is not the individual investor!? If you consider the same practice affects dividend income on Mutual Funds & Canada Pension Plan, perhaps millions of Canadians are affected. Would you comment on this practice - anyway this might be avoided? Thank you - Ross Siemms

Q: Good day all,
Is their enough room in BCE to grow it's price with more % than Telus over the next year or so. Or in your opinion do you see Telus regaining all its lost ground. I am actually looking at a trade from T to BCE and wonder if it is worthwhile.
Thank you.

Q: I understand that BN invests money raised privately. Are these private investors expecting to get a better return on their money compared a BN common shareholder? I'm confused what the fundamental difference is between them. Can you please explain. What happens if the private investor wants their money back? If they withdraw en mass does this create a balance sheet problem?
Q: ADP and PAYX seem to have quite similar businesses and I am having a hard time picking the long-term winner in their HR services market. It doesn't seem to make sense to own both. Which of the two would you prefer for a long term investment and why?
