Q: I have 6 years before I must draw from my RRSP. I have no consumer staples or consumer defensive stocks in any of my accounts. Can you recommend 3 US stocks that you like in each of these sector.
Thanks

Q: Do you have any near term concerns on adding to one's SOBO holdings? Are fundamentals and the outlook reasonably solid for this company, and the sector?

Avoiding one of those "why is my XXXXXX stock down today" questions, I will say that I have noticed over the last 6 months that the pipelines have been generally drifting lower. I am assuming this is just short term sentiment / sector rotation?

If all looks good to you, my intent was simply to add more SOBO at a favourable technical buy level.

Q: For a long time, BAM and BN were relatively close in share price. Why the $10 difference of late ? Does BAM need to catch up or has BN had too good of a run of late (and needs to come down) ? Or is this the new normal and how it should have been all along ?

Q: In regards to Jerry’s green energy question I think he should consider NXT which seems to be a “best in its class” company. They are part of a new large project in Greece. The stock was recommended by 5i and hit a new high today. I bought some based on your recommendation so thanks very much!

Q: Hello 5i
I am overweight Nvidia and plan to sell some. At my stage it is probably wise to put this in fixed income. I don’t know much about this, however, and have been made a bit gunshy by hearing of people losing money in what one would imagine to be a safe and secure bet. So, iaskif you could give me some possibilities for US dollar fixed income in a non-registered account. Something that could reduce taxes would be helpful, as well
Thanks for your great service

Q: If I sell a stock in an unregistered acct. at a loss, do I still have to include it in my tax's or can I just forget about it, and not bother entering it as a tax loss.

If I move a stock which is at loss from my unregistered account to my TFSA do I still have to enter that stock in my tax's for that year.

Thank you.
