Q: Could you please describe SPSC’s business model, competitive advantages or weaknesses? What are the key factors that would support a long term investment in SPSC? Would you be confident in their earnings forecast? Could SPSC be a takeover candidate?

Q: In my US denominatedm growth-focused TFSA, I own CRM, PYPL, TOL, AAPL, GOOG, ADBE, QCOM, and NVDA. It is time for me to make my annual contribution.

I am underweight PYPL; should I add to it or replace PYPL with something else? If I should replace it, please suggest two or three good candidates for long-term growth, US-based, sector/cap size unimportant, risk profile somewhere between that of your growth and balanced portfolios. If I remove PYPL, I'd rather add a new position than add to one of my current positions.

In your answer, please do not include MSFT, IBM, PFE or MDT, since I have full positions in these in my other accounts.

I've been a 5i member since 2016 and have been served well by your service; thanks for a great seven years. I remember starting a position in CSU at around $600 and thinking I was 'too late'.

Q: Long term holding and price appreciation of AAPL and NVDA has led to a U.S. portion of a registered portfolio weighting of 28% and 17% respectively. I'd like to take some profits on these positions and trim these weightings to diversify. Please provide your top suggestions for replacements to consider in Health, Consumer, IT, Communication, and Financial sectors with a timeframe of 10years+

Q: Dear Peter et al:

Recently a tech expert came on BNN and mentioned that going forward, it is the SaaS companies that will benefit from AI revolution. His top pick was ORCL. But he mentioned NOW and CRM as well in passing. I looked at these companies using Finviz's screener (free version!) and I see ORCL has a lot more debt than the other two.

What would be your choice? If not these three do you have any other favourites? Many thanks.

Q: I understand that information technology stocks maybe "cyclical". Like for example, TTD may be more cyclical because it leans into communication for retail stocks. But for many, I'm having a difficult time deciding whether the above stocks are heavily, moderately or lightly cyclical. Please let me know how you would rate them for these 3 categories. Q: I would appreciate your help with an investment decision.

I own Qcom and I’m down about 40%.

As you pointed out in answering a recent question the PE makes it look cheap. It’s got a decent dividend Howe.

However, it doesn’t seem to be or have any momentum,

Would I be better off selling QCOM and adding to either or both NVDA or Adobe both of which are up nicely.

Alternatively, would I be better off just buying an ETF for safety and diversification.

Q: I have funds to put towards an aggressive attempt at obtaining an average 20% annual return over the next 3-5 years (own CSU, NVDA, GOOG, BN and few others with such potential). Shop is falling again today despite earnings beats and price target increases across the board. Is it a good time to buy the shares from todays profit takers? Also in general do you see this market sell off sparked by the fitch downgrade of the US credit rating a buying opp? There has been some brutal sell offs over the last 2 days. Which names would you be looking to buy in this weakness? Thanks

Q: I currently hold these 9 stocks with the noted weight in my portfolio: ADBE (4%); AMZBN (3.5%); CRM (2%); CSU (4.5%); CRWD (1.5%); NVDA (1,5%); QCOM (1.5%); SHOP (2.5%); GOOG (4%).

This adds up to about 25%, and to make matters worse, I recently reduced NVDA from 4% for a temporary wait on the sidelines and I intend to restore that in the next while.

So although most are all fairly different, there is too heavy a concentration in tech and reduction is in order. If you were me, which of these holdings would you sell? Trimming across the board is not impossible but as I wish to add some new ideas and already have more stocks than is probably efficient, so selling one (or more) is somewhat more preferred.

FYI, my goals are mostly growth and capital preservation, dividends are less important.

Q: In a US $ registered acct with a growth tilt, equities that we hold in a 'smaller' % (1%-2.5% range) of total portfolio are as follows: ADBE, BKNG, CROX CRWD, META, SMCI . Would you put new money into any of these ? At what price ? And what approximate % of a total portfolio would you go up to for any of them ?
