Q: Hello: I sold BABA and cut TCEHY holdings in half last week in a bit of a panic and would now like to know of any US stocks you might suggest to replace these two. I already own GOOGLE.

I greatly appreciate and follow your US recommendations. My LIF has suffered serious losses and I wound like to build it back up with one of these US holdings or another you could suggest for a 2-3 year period. If all are suitable, please list in order of preference based on growth over risk.

Q: "This is the chance I've been waiting for". Based on the market sell-off and a scenario where I have no stock holdings and want to build a new portfolio, which 6 Canadian companies do you believe:
1. have the most short and long term upside potential based on the fact that they are now undervalued
2. have the strongest fundamentals to power them upward
3. are located in the right sectors
Yet still, because of the nature of their business, are somewhat insulated from the current negative market conditions.
Which companies should I buy today?

Q: Looking to increase my American technology positions. I'm interested in taking a position in Adobe. What do you think the future holds for this company, short term, (1 year) and long term (5 years). I'm trying to decide between ADBE and MSFT. Which do you think is the best investment or would you buy both? Would they complement each other? Are there other U.S. tech. companies you like as well or better?

Q: Would you kindly provide your ranking for these 3 companies for a 1 to 2 year hold from 2 perspectives, first with regard to growth with the "growthiest" first and second with regard to safety with the safest of the three listed first. Your view specifically on the Intel miss and whether you think it impairs the stock longer term or whether the miss is more of a shorter term impediment to the equity price. Thank you for your help. Q: I would like your opinion on these tech stocks for my tfsa. tech stocks were suggested by you in my last question - "For some growth, one could add tech names (US or Canadian), if applicable. We note that less than five years is still considered relatively short-term, so we would keep things on the lower risk profile in general."

Q: 16% of my portfolio is made up of the above listed stocks.
All are relatively volatile compared to the rest (84%) of my holdings
Do you consider these holdings and their weights to represent excessive risk to a portfolio?
Which of these stocks would you keep and which would you sell to reduce the risk?

Q: Hi !

I invest mostly in growth stocks but with 28% of my portfolio in tech, I may be overloaded in this sector. My present holdings are: CSU (2.7%) PHO (2.5%) KXS (3.2%) SHOP (3.5%) ADBE (3.1%) FB (2.7%) GOOG (2.6%) MU (1.8%) NVDA (2.2%) SQ (3.%). If I were to reduce the number of holdings as well as my tech %, on which stocks would you suggest to concentrate, identifying those with most growth potential and those more risky ? Are there any other stocks better suited to my goal ? Or should I stay the course here ?
