Q: Hi,

Could you please briefly compare/contrast these three US defence contractors? Is there a clear favourite? Are they any others worth considering?

Q: I have about 10% cash that I am considering putting in U.S. stocks. Even with our $.69 dollar, I don't see any catalysts to improve that over the next few years. I have a good diverse portfolio in both $Cdn and $US, but I am definitely lighter in US exposure.
With the uncertainty of tariffs, Canada with no real leadership for the foreseeable months ahead, the US "Drill baby drill", and Canada not seeming able to attract large international investment, is there anything left to drive growth in Canada?
I am retired, so I want something that should be a little less volatile. I'm thinking of adding to MSFT and JPM, to bring them to a full 5% position. Is this a good idea, and if so, can you also recommend 2 other stocks for me to look at. What are your thoughts on Healthcare, stocks or ETFs, with the new administration? Everything US is inside my RRSP. Thank you

Q: My current portfolio is heavily oriented towards growth and is very high risk. Over the next few to several months I plan on repositioning towards a more balanced approach. I will be looking to add some growing but steady large caps. Toward that end I have the following short list: TR, BN, GOOG, Canadian Banks, SLF, MSFT, NVDA, BEPC. Is there anything in that list that you would not see fitting into that category? Can you please add a half dozen or so of your preferred other names that fit with this idea. Please exclude defense contractors, the Oil and Gas sector and usurious money lenders.

Q: It’s now 2025, new Canadian leadership coming and reduced regulations/government in the US. You suggested on a reply today how a 50% US - 40% CAN - 10% Global portfolio mix might be right for today’s environment. Based on this, what is YOUR best ideas for a brand new $1M+ portfolio? Q: Hello, I am wanting to increase my TFSA Industrial sector from 12% to 15%. I presently hold ATRL CP MDA and DRX. Which would be better addition RTX or ATS? Another thought is add RTX and replace DRX (down 30%) with ATS. I do hold for longer term. Thanks for any comments.

Q: Looking at these long term compounders in various sectors. Based on current valuation and future growth, how would you rank these and which ones would you buy now or DCA into over time?

I'm already holding full positions in BKNG, BN, CSU, LMN, half positions in V,MA,WSP, and smaller position in TRI. I would either add to my smaller positions or add new positions in the others.

Are there any other 2-3 long term compounders that you would consider good buys currently?

Q: Donald Trump is causing so much uncertainty in both Canadian and US markets. Canada might even go into a recession.

I know that you mentioned that we should not react to the Trump threat.

However, if I had to sell all my stocks and ETFs ($400k) and start from scratch today, what would be the top 20 stocks/ETFs ( US and/or Canadian) that that you would invest in.

Would you just buy SPY/ZSP.to/ VGT/ SCHG ETFs in the USA market for safety?

Fyi, I don't like bonds.

Q: In a best case scenario, I think 4 years of Donald Trump in power will be chaotic and discruptive in the US and globally. In a worst case, I believe the US is heading for internal unrest/violence, and the certain parts of the globe will be at war. I have some cash to deploy and am light on industrials. I’m looking for US companies that are growth oriented and I was thinking about ROAD as an option. Could you give me a summary of why you like this company? (Or don’t like it?)

And are there any other industrials that you would prefer over ROAD for growth over the next 2-3 years?
