Q: Hi Peter and Team
Now that the "B" word has been mentioned in reference to MPW I guess my buy and hold approach does not work this time. Could you suggest two or three possible stocks that could help toward a 60% recovery of funds in my RIF account .

according to portfolio tracking and analysis, I am short on basic materials, consumer cyclical, health care, industrials. im also quite short US and international equities. I prefer equities with dividends that are growing, and has some capital appreciation/growth as well. with this in mind, can you provide your top few picks in each sector please. much appreciated. chris

Q: Everyone. AI is at the beginning of a great breakout in many industries. AI is in exponentially growth period and the early adopters will benefit but the biggest beneficiaries are yet to be identified. I didn’t understand the benefits of MSFT or APPL in their pre-real growth stages. Will AI change the stock market in a profound way the humans will not be involved ie the human stock pickers. What tech areas should I look for be looking for or are they in my view already? Should we believe in the large cap tech stocks will continue to lead, or buy, the AI technology revolution? Clayton

Q: Like everyone else I suppose I am looking for the next great idea. Is there a company or two on your radar that is impressing you with their performance/growth outlook? Maybe tempting you to initiate a report on? Bonus points if it is already profitable, and/or approaching 1 B market cap. Double bonus points if you could see the possibility of them initiating a dividend one day. Just looking to build a short list for further investigation before next year’s TFSA contribution. Q: So here's my predicament. Over the past many years my portfolio largely reflects NASDAQ returns but has much more volatility. I'm thinking of just buying a bunch of QQQ (or XQQ) so I worry less about the volatility while still getting similar returns. I still like picking stocks and was thinking of holding most of my tech in QQQ while trying to pick a few tech stocks to 'juice' returns. If you were to pick 5 NASDAQ stocks that might outperform the NASDAQ over a mid-long timeframe, what would they be? Note these can include large caps (MSFT, NVDA) or anything else.

Shop is falling again today despite earnings beats and price target increases across the board. Is it a good time to buy the shares from todays profit takers? Also in general do you see this market sell off sparked by the fitch downgrade of the US credit rating a buying opp? There has been some brutal sell offs over the last 2 days. Q: With US inflationary concerns (hopefully) receding and the Fed finally pausing on US interest rate hikes (again hopefully) I'm hopeful the US market strength will broaden from some of the mega cap names like NVDA down to more mid-cap opportunities. Are there any mid ($2.5-20bn market cap) names you like currently/would suggest? (US or Canadian)
