Q: Hello, I have too many financial stocks and I would like to sell one of the above but I'm not sure which one to let go of. I was thinking of letting X go or one of the Brookfield stocks. Your thoughts please, I feel I can get enough diversification with only four stocks in this sector. Thank you in advance.

Q: I previously owned some BAM.A Because of the complexity with tax reporting, I had this in a registered account. With the current set up, it appears that BN has more of a growth orientation, and this stock might be better held in a non-registered account. Do you have any idea what the distributions from BN might be composed of, going forward?
Thanks!

Q: Good morning - I'm looking at my current BEPC holdings which are in a loss position. I also have BIPC ( gain position at this time), BAM and BN. I'd like your thoughts on whether to sell both BEPC and BIPC and increase both my BAM and BN. I like BEPC but am not emotionally attached to it. Best Brookfield moves for someone with say ten year investment horizon and a desire for dividends? Thanks

Q: We have BN (full position) and BAM in Canadian $ accounts. 5i appears to consider these very good choices for part of a portfolio foundation. Do you have similar choices to recommend that we could put in our US$ accounts (TFSA, RRIF) ?
Thank you, as always.

Q: Good morning - I sold an interest in BEPC to generate losses over thirty days ago. My intention was to buy back in as I do like the whole Brookfield family. I still have BEPC plus positions in BIPC and BN. I do like dividends but I have a ten year horizon and am wondering which Brookfield to purchase. Your guidance would be appreciated. Thanks Al

Q: About 2 weeks ago, Adam asked a question and 5i answered, as follows:

Q. Would now be a time to review ones stock holdings, maybe raise some cash in anticipation of slight pull back or considering a pause in rate hikes, would you go all in with growth stocks?

A. We think it is too early to go all in on growth or add risks. While we think the overall outlook is positive, there are still plenty of challenges. .....We still wouldn't time the market with a cash call.....When doing a review, however, we would still focus on the fundamentals rather than the stock movements. We think high-quality growth stocks look good, and there is no need to keep or layer on extra risk when solid companies still remain cheap even after recent moves.

Two questions from me:

1. Two weeks is a mere blip in the investment time horizon, nonetheless with a bit of news (interest rate + market response, some earnings releases, etc,) do you have any further thoughts about the overall outlook for adding cash or more of a tilt to growth?

2. Can you list 10 high - quality growth names (Cdn or US) that fit your desired fundamental profiles, contemplated by your answer to Adam?

Many thanks for your excellent service.

Q: Hi

BN is 3.6% of our portfolio.

Financials are 19% of or portfolio and our Real Estate is at .50%.

Thinking of selling half of our BN and buying CIGI to reduce our financials and increase our Real Estate.

Does this make sense?

Thank you

Mike

Q: Hi there,

CSU and BYD are probably the 2 best stocks over the last decade. Both have strong similarities also. If you were to pick a few stocks today that show similar promise, what would they be? Are there any future CSU and BYDs out there?

Thanks!

Q: hello 5i:
a question about weightings and diversification.
Presently, have the above: BAM 2.5%, BN 2.5% and BIP.UN 5.0%.
First, is there too much of an overlap between the companies?
Second, IF we were to sell half of the BIP.UN, bringing it to a 2.5% weighting, with 7.5% overall invested in Brookfield companies, would that raise any alarm bells?
Third, if one were to sell BIP.UN, what would make a sensible replacement, either in utilities or industrials. Low to moderate risk profile, with dividend income being an important factor in portfolio management.
thanks

Q: I had BEPC (3%), BAM(1%) and BN(5%), TD(3%) but just sold my BEPC, with the intent to use the proceeds to bump up BAM. Would I be wiser to bump up my TD or would you expect the profiles and forward looking growth/income to be similar? Non-Registered account.
thanks,
Mark
