Q: Greetings 5i team,
I hold these seven companies in my TFSA in roughly equal amounts. I would like to add WELL to my TFSA. Would it be wise to shave a bit from all of the companies listed in order to do so?
Or, do you see a better solution to achieve this (ie. SELL one / two of the other positions in favour of WELL)?

Q: I own both as well as stocks like Bip, Bepc, …. I want to own more of BMA and/or BN.
should I own 1 or both? And if 1 why? And if 2 why as well.

Part of my objective here is buy stocks whose size and diversity adds a degree of safety both short term and longer term. Hopefully that is doable here.

Q: I own both KKR and BN. KKR stock price is appreciating significantly more than BN and all other stocks in the private equity realm, that I am aware of. Can a case be made to concentrate on KKR if one is not concerned about including BN to have Canadian exposure? Further, do you see any other financial stock with more pure growth potential relative to KKR?

Q: If YOU were a growth-focused investor building your portfolio, what would be the MAX weight (%) YOU would give to the following Canadian names without losing sleep at night? As always, the portfolio is for long term buy and hold with a 5-10 year time frame.

Q: Following these recent QA regarding BN.

Sep30 “ As per the latest annual financials, BN holds a 25.0% interest in Brookfield Asset Management (BAM), a 54.6% interest in Brookfield Renewable Partners (BEP.UN), a 73.9% interest in Brookfield Infrastructure Partners (BIP), and a 34.5% interest in Brookfield Business Partners (BBU)”

Oct01: “Owning the three noted will provide higher income and somewhat similar exposure. But BN will prove the 'private equity' component of its businesses that the others have less of.”

I own BN since BAM-reorg and it did very well this year. If we look at it’s underlying assets : in the last year BAM/BBU did OK but not as much, but both BEP and BIP did poorly. May be a stupid question, why did BN do so well? Market speaking? “private equity” or other assets heavier than we think? Thanks ++

Q: Hello, and thank you for an informative service. In theory, what are your views on adding to a so-called expensive/highly valued stock when your original cost basis is quite low? For example, I keep reading how Dollarama is at a high premium right now. I have a lot of it, and my original cost basis is about $97. Even adding a couple thousand dollars would keep it at something like $97.50. as a general rule or idea, is it worth building on positions like this? Also, I don't know if this would be considered a second question, but if you could rank the five stocks in order to purchase today keeping in mind my original question, that would be much appreciated. Q: I originally submitted this question back on Sept 17 but never received a response so I'll try again. I was wondering if you could provide some investment ideas/suggestions for ongoing contributions to a FHSA, as contribution room becomes available each year. Looking for "reasonable" growth without "excessive" risk over the 15 years of the plan. I am thinking of investing 50% of the yearly $8000 allowable contribution to a CAD-denominated S&P500 ETF and wondered which one you would suggest? Or, would you recommend something else? What is your opinion of XQLT - the iShares MSCI USA Quality Factor Index ETF as compared to an S&P500 ETF? For the other 50% of the yearly contributions I was wondering which two TSX stocks and which two CDR's you would suggest for annual contributions until the $40k plan maximum is achieved in 5 years? Q: In my RRIF I hold the above 5 stocks in the "financial" sector:

1) What impact, positive or negative will interest rate reduction have on each of the stocks?
2) Would you please rate the 5 for total return possibility over the next 12-18 months, and
3) They represent about a 25% of the RRIF - would you be comfortable with this level of allocation n the current environment?
