Q: Hello,
I am looking to add to my US non-registered account. Retiring soon and looking for safety & sustainable growing dividends. Which of these do you prefer and why? Is there something else you would suggest? I am building up my portfolio and have small holidings in GOOGL/JNJ/VICI.

Q: My current portfolio is heavily oriented towards growth and is very high risk. Over the next few to several months I plan on repositioning towards a more balanced approach. I will be looking to add some growing but steady large caps. Toward that end I have the following short list: TR, BN, GOOG, Canadian Banks, SLF, MSFT, NVDA, BEPC. Is there anything in that list that you would not see fitting into that category? Can you please add a half dozen or so of your preferred other names that fit with this idea. Please exclude defense contractors, the Oil and Gas sector and usurious money lenders.

Asking this question for a friend who is relatively new to investing (and may be a future 5i client:-)

She has $200k in a non-registered account and is contemplating a balance of 75% US ETFs and 25% US equities, any sector. The account is growth-focused, moderate to medium risk; no funds will be withdrawn for 3-5 years. Given these parameters, please suggest 4 ETFs and 4 stocks she should consider. Thank you.

Q: Would you consider now to be a good time to do some buys in the consumer staples sector? If so, why? I'm looking to close this gap in my investment portfolio and would appreciate your recommendations on some companies -- ideally growth oriented that also pays a (growing) that I can buy an hold for 5+ years. Q: This question is about small TFSA with 98% Canadian equities with 32.06% total weight in the technical sector. Weight for LMN, SHOP and DSG are close to 5i Bal portfolio but CSU is at 14.8% (Thank you). All these names are at profit.

Question 1 -I am contemplating selling CSU to reduce Canadian exposure and buying MSFT or NVDA What is your opinion of such a move? Any other suggestions in technical space?

Question 2 - This TFSA has no exposure in Consumer Staples. Would you suggest buying COST instead of US technical name? Any other suggestions and entry price?

Q: I have held XLP for sometime and thought it may be better to hold a few consumer defensive stocks instead for better overall performance. Also, XLP has a high percentage of tobacco companies that would prefer not to hold.

Would you be able to provide a 2 or 3 suggestions. I would prefer US or international companies.
